Has Anyone stayed here that might have some pictures or even just a review to tell me about? I am trying to decied where to stay either here or BWPPI.... I hear mixed reviews about BWPPI, so i'm not 100% sure about anything... everyone says HOJO but, They don't have a room to fit 6 people and it seems alot farther away for my toddlers and grandma! Any help and info would be awsome!

Stayed here two weeks ago.

There are 5 of us. We had plenty of room.

The room was clean. Not "amazing" or anything....DH was kind of disapointed.

HOWEVER, I wanted something CLOSE and you really can't beat it. 3 beds for all of us, so kids didn't have to sleep on the floor. Fridge and microwave a huge plus.

Breakfast wasn't worth the trip....we bought stuff for the room and ate in the parks.

Kids used the pool, loved it.

Walls were a little thin between rooms (heard mom next door yelling at kids)....but, we were right under the fireworks viewing area (room 517) and didn't hear anything the night we were there, people were nice and quiet coming and going.

I would stay here again, for the walk alone. I found HoJo and Ramada Inn Maingate to be "cleaner" rooms, but you can't beat this walk.

If you find what you're looking for, perhaps you'll consider 'bumping' the thread back to the front page so others can have a peek:3dglasses :3dglasses .

I think it's awesome that so many folks have contributed to the greatness of that thread! I LOVE all of the pictures!:thumbsup2

Thanx to everyone who posted already!!:flower3: I really think we might stay here!Anyone else????

I really think that is your best bet, since you need a room to fit 6. The location is wonderful too. I haven't heard anything bad about them, only that their pool and hot tub is indoors. Some don't like that (assuming there is a stronger chlorine smell that way), and some don't care. But I think that would be a good choice for you!

FYI...

When we got to the hotel, we walked by the pool. I truly believe because it is indoors the smell is worse. Once we smelled the chlorine, we were worried about the kids eyes and stuff.

HOWEVER.....I have been in pools outdoors where the balance was MUCH worse.....so, even though it smelled like it may have had too much chlorine, it didn't at all.

I just got back from there- here is my trip report with some pictures-

And yes the pool area looked really stuffy and smelled really strongly of chlorine, but the location of the hotel was perfect, the prices was good and the rooms were fine.

We've been to both and its really a toss-up. You can't beat the location of either. They are very similar in what they offer. We had six and were able to sleep everyone in a bed, one bed being a sofa sleeper. If I had to choose, I'd probably take PPI as it may have a slight edge with a little bit better breakfast but not by much. Either one will work out well.

DSNY4ever

was that the C2 Parlor family suite you were in? That's what we will be staying in. How big was the living room area? Big enough for two pack and plays?

I don't think you could fit two Pack n plays in there, it was pretty small (yes we had the C2 Suite). Even if you moved the coffee table to fit them, that is right where the entry to the hotel room is, so it would probably block the door and it might make me nervous having the two kids in there. We only had one pack and play with us and we were put it on one side of the bed near the bathroom in the larger room, and in that same room there is a small table and two chairs- if you moved those into the corner, you could fit the other one on the other side of the other bed so that they would both be out of the way.

The living area looks much larger on their drawing of the layout of the room ;)

Here is one photo from our Parlor Suite at the Desert Inn. We were on the top floor so it was quiet. It was in fine enough shape and wasn't dirty. Nothing great about the decor but it was comfortable.

Do they have cribs to bring into the rooms? I didn't even think of the play-pen i was just gonna have the baby sleep with me... but it would probley be better if i had something for it as i wouldn't want it to roll off or me push it off :scared1: ( i move ALOT when i sleep!)

Did our first fam trip with Desert Inn and Suites and since then it's always been our top two choices (the other being Tropicana). Desert Inn worked the best for us when we made big family trips because of the suite with the extra room with privacy (for grandma&grandpa to rest from the full day of watching little ones while mum and dad ride Indiana Jones!)...
Also, the indoor hot tub was a huge plus, as was the close walk for midday napping or uh-oh's!

Yes the C2 does have two bathrooms which was a necessity for us with everyone trying to get ready at the same time in the morning. The sinks are outside the bathroom too which is nice because people can be brushing their teeth and using the mirror while someone else uses the bathroom.

The suites are nice because you only pay the taxes and any extra fees as though you have one room, but you really have two! But keep in mind you can only park one car for free there, if you have an additional car it has to be parked over at the Hilton parking garage for $17 per day (it is overnight parking obviously).

i think if you moved the coffe table in the bed room you could fit one pack and play by the couch next to the wall and another where the coffe table is.. thats just what i was thinking when i saw the pic above. dont know if it will work for you hope you enjoy it.
I have desert inn planed for my dec trip oct if i was going twice dosent look like it any more

WOW :scared1: $6 a night for a crib.... for that price i could by a cheap pack and play and leave it there.... and thats just what i might do 14 days x $6 = $84 :scared1: that last hotel we stayed at it was free!
