We have 7 people in our party so I was wondering if a B family suite, C1 parlor family suite or a C2 parlor family suite would be better for us at DI&S?

It's really up to you - we only have 4 people and LOVE having seperate bathrooms! Cost, room needed & personal preference.

they have the floorplans on their site. if you click on View Floor Plan you can get a feel for how the rooms are set up.

We also have ressie's there along with other places. not sure what the beds are like. I am elderly and need a good bed.

We have 6 people and have stayed here several times. I would not go smaller than the C2 for our family. It just depends on your family though. I have 4 pre-teens plus DH and myself. We definitly need two bathrooms in order to stay sane on our trip. Plus, I just like the extra space in the C2. It's worth the price to us.

What are the beds like?

Jack

The beds are lower to the ground than what we have at home, but I like it. They are not luxurious, but were perfectly comfortable in my opinion. The matresses are not very thick, but were soft yet firm enough for me. My DH and all four kids did not have any complaints. The pillows are a little softer than what we're used to, so I used two...I slept like a baby. It's hard to give an opinion on a bed because everyone is so different, but we were happy with them.

Thanks, since I have never stayed there I thought I would ask an opinion. At leasts gives me an idea that they are not bean bags.

I'm remembering the beds being more on the firm side than on the soft side. Not like sleeping on boards or anything, but not anything you'll sink in to either. They were much more comfortable than I expected for a cheap hotel. But then again, everybody has a different preference for beds. What I find comfortable, my wife finds to be not quite soft enough. :confused3

Jack I've never had issues with the beds there either. They are a little on the firm side but I never have any issue sleeping or any pain from them. I'd ask the kid what she thinks but she can sleep on my hardwood floor without issue so I'm not sure she'd be any help.

As we almost always drive, we take our own pillows too so that helps.

We're booked there in March, myself and three teenage girls. I was o.k. with just the deluxe room but now I may need to look into a bigger room just in case.

I did not find a "great rate" for August for the C2 so we will keep watching, but we do need 2 bathrooms and reasonable beds.

Hard as a rock. I wrote a trip advisor review which stated "Sleep in the parking lot it's more comfortable" I always bring either my memory foam topper or eggcrate deal. It seems the C-1's arent' as bad as the A parlor suites but still

Wow, never had the "hard as rock" experience. My bed at home is harder than those at DI&S.

I have stayed in a few of the C-1's and they weren't that bad, but the A parlor suites were HORRIBLE! Maybe the beds in the A suites were newer and hadn't been broken in much

We stayed there and had no problem with the beds at all. We'd be staying there again if we hadn't gotten such a good rate at La Quinta.

We stayed in a Parlor A suite last September and I loved the beds, but I like a very firm bed. I slept like a baby and didn't have any of my regular aches and pains when I woke up. Bed firmness is such a personal preference thing that a hotel can never please everyone. I loved our experience at the Desert Inn and we are staying there again in two days.:thumbsup2

Please let us know how it was.

We are at the Desert Inn & Suites right now (I type this from the room). Once again we have had a magical experience so far with this hotel. Upon check-in they upgraded us to a Parlor A suite. We love this room because you get an extra living room area to relax on the couch. We got here at around 11:00 yesterday and they let us check-in early and park our car in their lot and go to Disneyland. Our room wasn't ready yet so we left to go play and returned around 2:30 and we were given the suite. The staff has been great so far. I slept like a baby in the very firm bed.
