I'm looking to book DI&S for Halloween weekend. Do they charge your card at all when you book online?

It'll be me, my mom, my sister, my 4 kids and my nephew. So if there are any other recommendations for a close, walkable suite please let me know.

When we have booked, no the they not charge our card till we got there. But you can call and ask if you are concerned.

It is clean, simple, and worked great for our two families. It is such an easy walk and usually quite affordable.

I booked us the last week in September and they just took the card their were no charges! I believe though that they take the first night out the night before you come. I think? BTW I got the family suite A for 79 a night.

You guys aren't staying at Hojos this time? My mom wants to go for Halloween and DH doesn't want to go at all! My dad is flaking on taking my sister and DN so we are thinking about taking them with us. It'll be us girls and the kids. It isn't for sure yet so shhhhh!

I feel ya ours wont be real until we're there. I have a lot of saving to do to get us there. The Hojo is a good hotel but I needed something closer and I wanted a free breakfast. Every little bit I can save will help. Oh and a bigger room for the same as the Entertainment rate for the smaller room that was a deal breaker for me! DH isn't as excited to go as I am. So we'll see how this goes. I can see I'll be all by myself on this one!
BTW:I thought you had stayed here before?

No we stayed at Portofino the first time. Kids suite was nice but only sleeps 6. We will need a suite for 8 if sister and nephew go.

Everytime I've booked with DI&S they've authorized just $1 at booking but never the full amount. It seems to me that they authorize my card for the first night the day before we get there.

Wow, that's really good! We stayed there last month on a Wednesday and were charged around $130. I'm looking into staying there again at the end of June thru the beginning of July and have an average daily rate of $122 (for the A - Parlor Suite). I want your rate!!!

We love the Desert Inn & Suites. We've stayed there twice and we have reservations for September and December (and I'd make them for January if they would open up those dates...). My card hasn't been charged at all for those upcoming reservations. We just got back from a trip where we stayed at a different hotel (Anaheim Plaza) and we weren't nearly as happy there.
