Thanks. I am going to check it out. I was not going to get a set because I don't think we'd ever use it because we don't do dessert - and we actually decided to go with all cupcakes for the wedding - but these are nice and not too traditional.

I wanted to share some pictures from my work bachelorette party. These lovely ladies took me out for some tapas at a local wine bar.. yummy!!


And of course... there were lots of gifts!!!! So thoughtful!


Note the Hello Kitty bag.. and crown... and goodies! Do ya think I like her?

It was a great time!!

Oh and take a look at the bag, my all too funny friend taped on a D! LOL I am still undecided on if I am going to change my last name to Roe or to hyphenate.. so since the bag was too cute to pass up she glued on a letter D.... just in case lol

Happy Friday!


I feel like I had nothing to update for soo long, and now I can update something every day.

Still waiting on BEO and Floral BEO which is frustrating because we had our planning sessions in early June... sigh. But alas, more updates.

Here are our toasting flutes. We received these as a gift from Mike's aunt. Call me a 6 year old, but I LOVE getting presents in mail.

YAY Good news!!!

I have FINALLY found someone who will make a birdcage veil for me! You would think it would be easy to find, however since my dress is champagne on gold it was like finding a needle in a haystack. I found white... off white.. ivory... no champagne. I did find a few on Etsy.
Luckily I found a designer on Etsy who is willing to make one of her prices for me in my color!

Here are some inspiration pictures I sent her... and she is so excited to create something.. which makes me a happy Desiree!

I am not sure I wrote this before, but I have 3 women in my bridal party. They are in three different colors, and three different dresses. The only common element is that all the dresses are long and in a shimmer chiffon.

The colors are peacock- so my MOH is in navy, and then the others are in teal and a deept purple.

Here is what my MOH will wear in her hair, however it will be dyed navy and have two peacock feathers, one on either side of a vintge brooch.

Mine will be like this, however the veil part will come down over my eye on an angle, and I will have it champagne with a gold brooch and lots of featherss

My other girls will be wearing peacock feathers in their hiar.

Here are ideas for them, we are in the process of deciding on exact ones.

Thanks! I hope so, keeping fingers crossed. I love Etsy, but at the same time it can be nerve wracking ordering and then crossing my fingers and hoping they will match. I wish I could just do all my shopping at Target

Well... you know how New Jersey-ians tend to be. I was born up in Livingston, but every time we moved we moved further and further "down the shore" lol. Actually, I lived in Howell for many years, and I had a season pass to GA!!! Are you in Jackson by chance? I went to Mon Don...... Eventually we settled in Bayville and then me and Mike lived in Toms River right next to the Seas Side Bridge...

Morning All!

I wanted to share the headpiece I had made for my maid of honor! I love it! I have to admit I was worried because I had someone (very talented I might add) on Etsy custom create this piece as well as my headpiece ( not done yet) .. but I kept all my fingers and toes crosses and low and behold it came out wonderful.

In other news we are getting close to the wedding and all out panic has overcome me.... Seems like so much to do in so little time.

My dress came in (pictures to come soon) and my brooch bouquet is being worked on as we speak... so we are moving along

I also decided to do feather bouquets for the bridesmaids. My MOH is making them so I will post some pictures when I get home.

Sorry for the small pictures- when I try to resize them in photobucket there must be an issue with the resolution, so it keeps getting blurrier... Hope you get the idea though
