I say count your blessings that your are financially able to visit so often. The economy hasn't been so kind to all of us. We are on the road to recovery, but it's been two years and counting since we've visited the mouse. Hopefully, maybe next year.
I can only speak formyself and my family but we absolutely do count our blessing, however having something you taked about for years, read about, planned for be over can be sad, doesn't mean we don't appreciate it. We have had a few really bad times financially and some better so we never take our blessing for granted for sure.
Back to the OP, one thing we did this year that was a lot of fun and gave us Disney spirit that we plan to make a family tradition is we hosted an Ice Cream for Breakfast event for Give Kids the World. We did it though Girl Scouts this year so we couldn't raise money so we raised supplies off their Wish List. We had lots of Disney decorations and lots of fun (as well as make your own ice cream sundaes for breakfast for all!) I know GKTW are not Disney specifically, but the kids do go to Disney and we love Disney so we went that direction. Now when our family goes in November we will be taking the Donations over as a family to deliver them. Next year we will be doing it as a family event and will be raising money, not supplies, but a big Disney themed ice cream party for a great cause might give you something to look forward to between trips!
