Deposits or Holds on CC

I've stayed at other hotels (the most recent one popping out in my mind right now is Howard Johnson in Buena Park, CA) that will charge a refundable $50 hold when checking in. The room is pre-paid, and I get putting a CC on file for incidentals, but still do not get them freezing $50 in my bank account for the remainder of our trip. I was wondering if WDW hotels do anything like this? In other words, if my trip is paid in full upon check in, will they be charging anything to my CC on check in? TIA!

They have never done that when I've stayed at WDW. But I also can't think of any hotel anywhere that I experienced that.

I don't remember them putting a hold on the account at Disney. However, we stay at Marriott frequently on points. Their policy is to charge your card $30 per night for incidentals. Refunded, of course, if you do not use it.

WDW resorts, unlike just about any other hotel I've stayed, doesn't even require a Credit Card to be put on the room for incidentals, etc. And if you do put one down for room charging purposes they do not put any sort of hold on it.

Thank you everyone! When I did online check in, WDW did ask for a CC for incidentals, at least I think that's what it said it was for. Maybe it was for room charging. I don't recall the wording. That's what spurred me to ask about the hold. I just want to know what to expect. Thanks for all the info!

The Credit Card they ask for during Online Check in IS for room charging.

As others have posted - Disney asks for a card for room charging purposes, which is when they ask you to setup a pin for charging. I know what you mean about other hotels - I just had one hotel clear out my checking account....even though everything was paid in advance with the corporate credit card and any incidentals were to be put on that card as well - they just figured they would refund me after I checked out. I had them call my bank to clear it up immediately!
