As many times as I've traveled to WDW I've only made 1 reservation (that was for an Ice Cream Social). At that time I gave a credit card and the number of people that would attend. A girlfriend of mine said she thought that has changed. She said certain ressies required a deposit per person. Is this true? If so, what places?

I think Cinderella's Royal Table is one you need to make a deposit and I think the Concourse Steakhouse. If I am not correct, some one please correct me!

Some of the restaurants require a credit card guarantee, and a few require payment at time of reservation. Hoop Dee Doo Review requires payment at time of reservation and CRT may or just cc guarantee. Princess Storybook dining at Restaurant Akershus (Norway) requires a cc guarantee (I don't know which now). Some special events like the Candlelight Processional dining package requires the cc guarantee.

When you call to make your ADR's (advanced dining reservations) the CM will tell you if it requires payment or guarantee (most don't).

Also, Concourse Steakhouse closed in May and has been replaced by the new restaurant The Wave

Any of the Fantasmic Dining Packages require a CC guarantee.

CRT requires cc payment at time of reservation. I made reservations for December last month and was required to pay for it with credit card. I think CRT has been that way for a while.

Do you get your credit card guarantee back if you need to change your reservation? How far in advance do you have to cancel?

I'm going to be booking some 180 days soon, before the park hours and EMH schedule are out, and I'd hate to have those reservations carved in stone.

There is no deposit. I'm a TA and what they do is hold your CC just in case u don't show up they charge your card for wasting that spot. And if u show up they just charge u a regular charge.

Some of the restaurants require a credit card to hold a spot. This way if you are a no show they will charge you. Remember you are taking up a spot. This is not for all resturants. It's for V & A, Cinderella Castle, & The Hoo dee doo, The backyaed Bbq & the Poly foer the Alhoa show.
