Within the last week or so my fridge has acquired a rather nasty smell. I immediately tossed all leftovers (they were all in date) and all produce. Everything else is in sealed packages and is in date. Nothing has spilled, I triple checked. I put boxes of baking soda in both the fridge and the freezer to no avail. IT is affecting the taste of my ice and water, and it's making me not want to eat anything out of the fridge.

I'm not sure what else to do. There's nothing in there that is causing the smell that I can ascertain. I didn't have much in there to begin with, and have tossed most of it. Anybody have any other tips on deodorizing a fridge and freezer?

Try a cup of white vinegar. Should absorb the smell without affecting your taste buds. The smell of vinegar shouldn't linger once it is removed. I'd say to leave it overnight.
