Denny's, IHOP, Cove or McD's?

Anothe one who would advise against Captain Kidds ugh! Tony Romas was dire when we ate there as well and our waiter had a shocking attitude. It was two years ago so may have changed.

Also agree with the comments re: ihop, terribly overpriced for not much at all.

We only ate at Dennys once and then it closed for refurbishment while we were there. It was fine. We tended to eat at the other end, in garden walk and on katella.

We ate at Panera on this past trip, our first time ever (they aren't in Canada). So horribly overpriced! Would not go back and if I wanted a quick breakfast we would hit McD's (we did on our last morning for the drive to LAX). It's clean and they were efficient.

I just checked Panera prices and they seemed totally normal/acceptable, more than McDs I'm sure, but Egg Mcmuffin on vacation really? - ew.
we always did Mimi's if we wanted to take our time, otherwise it's a bagel from the room on the walk over. That's breakfast obviously, I'm not sure the OP was asking about that or not, other meals are usually downtown Disney or Anaheim Garden Walk.

Avoid IHOP, way over priced compared to like most other IHOPS. Easily 10 bucks just for 3 pancakes while that price would get you pancakses, eggs, meat and hashbrowns else where.

I would pick Mimi's Café for breakfast.

If you sign up for Mimi's eClub, you can get buy one, get one coupons via email pretty much on a weekly basis. Or you can just bring multiple copies of the same coupon. Put in 1400 S. Harbor Blvd. as your preferred location. We walked down to Mimi's from the Del Sol Inn every morning last January and the walk gave us a good idea if we were over or under dressed for the weather.

Just adding my two cents :) We went to Denny's there last year--NEVER again will we go to that one. We waited almost an hour to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant while those who did come in after us were seated before us. Every single person at our table was brought the wrong meal and it wasn't like they put our plates down in front of the wrong person--no, NOTHING we ordered was brought to our table. When we finally did get our food, half of it was cold, but we gave up by then. We did go to McD's the next night and it was fast, correctly made, nice and fresh (and I'm not a McD's fan at all, but it was one of the better locations we have been to). We will be going to Mimi's this weekend, so I'll let you know how that is!

If you want to expand a bit...

There are two IHOP's on Harbor near Disneyland, the southern one is next to the Red Lion near the Convention Center, just south of Katella, Seems to be the better of the two options.

McDonald's tends to be higher than most, except for the current promotional items, such as the "McPick2", which are the same.

And there is a Denny's on Katella Avenue, west of the DLR at the corner of Walnut. Also tends to be a better choice than the one on Harbor.
