Has anyone ever been denied boarding or heard of anyone in this situation? and know the circumstances? I have read on these boards of people with not quite the right documentation (i.e. copy of birth certificate, not certified copy) being given problems, but being allowed to board. Haven't heard anyone mention illness or pregnancy past 24 weeks (none of these apply to me)
Thanks

Disney is very strict about the pregnancy issue, and they do ask at the time of booking. I've seen people at the port being delayed for improper documentation, but ultimately allowed on when they could present "supporting" documents like picture ID, etc. I have seen people asked about gestational age at the time of check in.

I know of a family that was denied boarding due to the pregnancy issue. Whey they didn't read their brochure or documents is beyond me! In their case Disney did not allow them to cruise, but instead put them up at one of the resorts. I'm not sure I would count on Disney doing that every time, though - it's the guest's responsibility to be able to cruise once they've paid for it.

We had to cancel one of our rooms due to the pregnancy issue. Our cruise is 2/21/04 and my daughter is just entering her 20th week now. No one asked us when we booked if anyone in our party was pregnant. Actually, at the time of booking she wasn't pregnant but we hoped she would be pregnant by the time we cruised. Just didn't realize it would delay my daughter cruising with us this trip or she would have delayed the pregnancy for a few more weeks.

When I called to cancel the room, Disney was very emphatic about the guidelines. You must have a doctor's verification as to your due date and condition faxed to them prior to your embarkation.

Just the scoop on our situation.

My husband didn't have his birth certificate or passport because i so intelligently forgot it. it really wasn't that big of a deal though (but i wouldn't recommend forgetting yours!) the lady behing the counter gave us an obligatory stern face and look and then had DH sign a form saying he was US born. that was it. happy sailing ahead. maybe we were lucky?

For the next several weeks (terror alert "orange") being able to sign a form will not be "it"!! Don't forget to bring all of the required documentation if you want to be happily sailing away from troubles/worries.
