DEN to MCO how cheap on Southwest

We (me, DH and DS9) are in RAP (rapid city, sd) trying to make our flight arrangements for September. So far, prices from Rapid to MCO are fluctuating between 550 and 600. That's about $200 more per person than I wanted to pay. I was thinking we could drive into Denver (a 6 hour drive) to get some cheaper tickets. Priced Southwest tickets at about $220 a person, (tax and fees included). Before purchasing these tickets and commiting to a 6 hour drive each way, I was wondering how low have you seen South west fares go from DEN to MCO. Thanks.

Ah, my current obsession - SW airfares from Denver! The MCO-DEN non-stop hasn't even started and I have re-booked a couple times.

My original rate was $217 RT ($99 each way plus tax) which I thought was excellent. Then, I got a DING for $84 which saved me $150 (5 tix). A couple days later it went to $77 but I couldn't book both ways. Right now, there is a DING for $88 until 6:30 pm central. Personally, I would grab it cos you never know if it will get better or not. If it does, it can be changed.
