Demented with Spring 30% offer.....(little rant)

Ugh...I had everything planned down to the last all except one thing. Hubby hates POP, no way would he go back....I have been trying since the offer came up for 30 percent off for Spring to get any of the All star value resorts. (budget wont allow anything else)....Disney are only doing the offer on POP only!!!!! I called them about 5 times asking if anything has came up for them and they keep saying no. I dont know if they were even available for theofer or not cause I called the day the offer came out. Now nothing for my dates in value at all is coming up for All stars. It looks like for the first time in 9 years I am going to have to book something offsite and lose the EMH's. bummer....ok rant over, thank you for indulging me....sigh

If you're referring to the offer for stays April 13-June 14, I don't know your dates, but I pulled it up and plugged in random dates in April, May, & June and both Movies and Music came up as available. Some dates it was just Movies (along with POP), but other dates was both Movies and Music; however, there was one set of dates (can't remember which ones) that POP was the only thing available. I would suggest going online and add a night or two to the beginning or end of your trip to see if that helps. Sometimes (I don't know why) there might not be availability for your specific dates, but if you add a night or two the resort you want becomes available. If this happens, just book all the nights needed to get that resort and then call back and cancel the nights you don't need.

A CM once told me to call first thing Monday mornings as that is when any magical gatherings that cancelled go back into the system. It has worked almost every time for me, I hope it does for you as well.

It is actually only 15% to 20% off of the values and you have to purchase by the 31st. Are you going to special offers and looking for it that way. They have a calendar that shows you what the discounts are and what days they are available. We are going the May 10th thru the 15th staying at music booked it just last weekend

What if you stayed one less night and stayed at a moderate resort instead? Would that work out the same way price wise? Then you could still stay on property and use the EMH's. Just a thought. Not sure if the pricing would work out to be equal but it might be worth checking.

I'm sorry your DH doesn't like POP, that's the only value I will stay at. Good luck, you might just book POP and see if you can change.

I bet that's it! They hold blocks of rooms at the All-Stars for the cheerleading groups. You can use that to your advantage! Tell your husband that he'll avoid all the noise by staying at Pop! Cheerleaders practicing all hours, giant groups of girls in matching suits and ponytails EVERYWHERE!

They are sweet, but it's hard to stay in the same resort as ANY giant group.

Try to talk him into Pop. Good luck!

Trust me (BTDT) you don't want to be at the same resort when this is going on. It's as bad as Pop Warner (well, maybe not quite as bad, but almost). These sweet young things and their "chaperones" are what soured us on staying at Values forever.

Explain to your DH just how lucky he really will be to be staying at Pop instead of the All Stars. Hopefully he'll either come around for you or will spring for an upgrade to a mod.

I'd be curious at to why your husband is dead set against Pop Century. We are on a value budget as well and I would much rather have Pop Century over the All Stars. But, if it was offsite or All Star, I would choose All Star in a heartbeat.

Ask your husband how he's going to guarantee an offsite place is going to be better than Pop Century.
