Deluxes with bathrooms that have a separate toilet and/or shower space

We stayed at the GF and liked the shower and toilet being separate from the sinks. The only negative we found was that we felt the sink area should have had a door to the entryway, to give privacy for changing area (and to keep our 15 month old from running into the bathroom).

I was just watching videos for Contemporary (stayed here years ago and don't recall back then) and it seems shower and sinks are together, but the toilet is separate? I see WL has the shower and toilet together also, sinks outside. The POLY also doesn't have any separations in the bathroom, which really stinks for a deluxe. Stayed here years ago and don't recall for some reason but now due to our family dynamics it matters! So do I have this all right?

Can anyone tell me about the other deluxe and their bathroom set ups?

Also, Contemporary resort, I see the sinks and it seems due to the modern design there is no space/no countertops for toiletries, makeup, etc??? That's an awful design. Is this accurate, they just have double sinks but no countertops to rest items on?

Interestingly this must be an example of how we are all different individuals. I don't need visual separation at a sink from DH. When mine were little /(15 months) it totally didn't matter. So i have never noticed. I shared a Poly room with 2 little Grandkids and the sink arrangement was fine

Yes, at the Contemporary the toilet is in it's own room. But you have to walk in to the sink/shower area to get to it. And yes, there is very little counter space due to the sinks.

Have you looked at a Poly Studio? That set up may work for you.

With the toilet "closet" behind you...

GF... sinks in this room, shower/tub and toilet behind that (closable) door just to the left that you can kind of see...

Poly... tub/shower, sinks, and toilets all in one room.

YC... sinks in one area, toiltet and shower (no tub) in that room to the left with a sliding pocket door.

Hope that helps!

Funny, that’s one of the primary reasons we booked the Poly. I like being able to shut the door to the bathroom and not disturb my sleeping toddler! We stayed at WL last year and I was always trying to keep the noise/light in the sink area to a minimum after he went to bed.

really? That's why I felt the GF should have had a door also to entryway area. A door for the toilet and shower, and a door to the entry would be ideal!

The renovated YC rooms have this now. A sliding barn door closes off the sink area from the main room. It works really well in helping to block light for late nights/early mornings. I would guess future renovations of BC, AKL, BWI, GF, and WL would add this door.

Yes all but Poly & CR have sink area separate. I haven’t stayed at CR but from photo it looks like there is storage under the sinks which I prefer, keeps counter clear of clutter. I loved the space of the sink area at GF but wish they had under sink shelves.

When we stay at CR, we use one sink as a sink and one sink as counter storage. :-)

There is storage underneath as well, but not all that handy.

@GADisneyDad14 and @mickeynut1 I believe OP is wanting a door to close off sink area from everything too. I agree with you both about the separation you have described and I think that is what most folks like.

Yes, two doors seems ideal. Or a curtain at least, something f

I was thinking of doing this too...they really are lacking in that aspect!!

@GADisneyDad14 unless that YC pic is from an all-guys trip, someone is going to get yelled at.:earboy2:

Took me a second (or maybe longer) to get your comment. :-)

But that was the position when we arrived. I only have <1 min to take room pics before my family destroys the room, so I’m pretty sure this was right after we walked in. Ha!

How do I find a Poly studio room? When I look up rooms I don't see this offered.

The moderates have this setup with the toilet & shower room/separate sink area with a curtain or barn doors closing off the sink area. I really miss that in deluxes. It allows one of us to get dressed while one showers, and someone else is in the bed area. I hate getting dressed in the same steamy room I just showered in.
