ok I a couple of days ago I changed from the All star family suites to the Contemporary standard wing. We will have the DDP. My kids were really excited. I explained that we werent in the tower. As 800.00 more for the tower just could not reason with it. Can do so much more with 800.00 They did not care. My only question is. How connected to the contemporary tower does it still feel? Was this a good choice?

We've never stayed at the Contemporary but I can tell you that there will be a world of difference staying at CR over the All Stars. First of all you have wonderful transportation - monorail or walk to MK - monorail to TTC and catch EPCOT monorail. Great choice for dining also - kids love Chef Mickeys and we all loved the Wave and California Grill. Your kids will have a pool with a slide and a great marina.

You definitely made the right choice!

The Garden Wing is very close to the Tower so it won't be a long walk and besides that with the Contemporary you get better transportation options, better restaurant options and a better location.

oh thank you for all of the encouragement. I have been so hoping it will be the ooh and ahhh of the two trips before where we stayed moderate at POR. It was nice but not any ohh or ahhh at the resort. We live in Texas so new Orleans isnt all that much of a surreal setting as it may be to someone further north. We always were asking about the deluxe resorts and if they were all that much different. the room size alone seems to be a plus and the pillow top beds.
