Hi everyone! We have booked a deluxe room at the HoJo for August but I have read some reviews that the upper floors in bldg 2 get traffic noise. I thought that the deluxe rooms overlooked the pool area and were supposed to be quieter. Can anyone who has stayed in these rooms provide input.

Thanks,

TC.

We ll be staying in a Hojo Deluxe room in April too :)
We was recommended to book a deluxe room by Lorealle as she said its lovely & peaceful looking over the pool . Was choosing between deluxe & premium but after chatting to Lorreale went with her recommendation.
From what i ve read the rooms are mostly located around the pool
I know not all come with a balcony though as we ve had to request one

There was a recent post on this las week, so you may want to look back at that. The overall opinion was, tha he upstairs deluxe rooms in bldg #2 were the quietest, not a corner room, but the middle rooms. We are staying in the Kid's Suites Tu-Fri, but I decided on an extra nights stay, I booked a deluxe queen in bldg 2 for the additional night since the Kid's Suites are already booked up! Hope this helps!

Awesome. Now I'm really excited. I seem to recall that the rooms were recently "refreshed", which will make our stay even more enjoyable. As with you, I also hope to get a balcony so we can sit and enjoy our morning coffee. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the link Granismith. I must have gotten my buildings mixed up.

Your welcome, I hope you enjoy.:goodvibes We are going with the Disney view rooms only because the Deluxe were sold out during our stay so I hope it isn't too noisy. :upsidedow

Bldg. 2 is great, and overall it is very quiet back there. I did post in a recent thread, however, that we once had a room on the upper floor near the side of the building nearest the freeway and that room was too noisy for us because we could hear the freeway traffic. That thread and my post might be what you're referring to. It was also posted by someone else that the same area didn't bother them at all, so I guess it's very subjective depending on what you are used to as far as noise. We only had that room once, so I think the chances of getting a room on the top floor near that corner of the building are slim. After that, I requested a lower floor in the middle of the building and we did get a room there. It was perfect and we loved it. So, overall, building 2 is a great place to stay and we would request that building anytime, but i would put in a request to not be placed in the upper corner nearest the freeway if possible. :)

You will be facing the park and not the freeway, so you should be fine. :) The rooms that face the freeway in that building are the ones that would have the most noise. :)

Building 2 is our favorite. When I make our reservation I always request a quiet room and we have never had a problem. :goodvibes
