My husband and I are going for a short trip in November. We are staying 4 nights but getting there late so 3 full park days. I have reservations at Caribbean Beach and Beach Club. The cost difference is about $1300. The appeal of Beach club was the walk to Epcot for Food and Wine, but $1300 is a lot of money when we probably won't be at the resort much with only being there 3 days. I was thinking maybe a way to make the stay at Caribbean Beach better would be to do the Christmas after hours party. Cost would be $400 for the two of us but still saving $900 overall vs staying at Beach Club. So would you stay at Beach club and no after hours or Caribbean Beach and do the after hours to get in some more park time?

I'm a former Deluxe resort person, until they priced me out of my beloved Contemporary (and out of my Polynesian fantasies) but the $1300 price difference for 3 days doesn't sound that reasonable unless the travel time and extra evening hours are a really big deal to you. Still, since you have the Skyliner at CB it mitigates the travel time issue.

Disclaimer: I've never stayed at either and am really committed to overpaying so we can stay around Crescent Lake next time so take what i say with a grain of salt :)

If you were going to do some pool time in the afternoon or nights around the Boardwalk or Epcot, I'd tell you to stay at Beach Club. I love staying at Crescent Lake resorts. So beautiful. So convenient.

But the reality is if you're going to be a park commando, just stay at the cheapest resort you can find and hope the bed isn't awful.

$1300 for 4 nights isn't too bad. Originally we were thinking of having a more relaxed time and enjoying food and wine and some HS for Star Wars. but then you know how it goes. You start thinking since I am there I want to do this and this and this and then its like my time is now all park time. We did just go with our kids this past June and stayed offsite for 10 nights but after this Nov trip it will probably be years before we go back. We have 4 kids and have only been able to go about every 4 years. This will be our first time just the two of us.

I would do CBR and do the after hours party. You could uber everywhere for convenience and still not spend $1300. You may also want to price out Swan/Dolphin to see if you can get the same location as BC for a better price.

You may want to consider the Swan or Dolphin for your dates - have you looked at the prices? They're about $430 a night including taxes and fees for my early December dates. Those resorts are equally walkable to Epcot and DHS and a nice stroll to the Boardwalk. I've stayed at both and really enjoyed them.

Co-sign on this. Because they're not owned by Disney but still extremely convenient, the Swan and Dolphin are probably the best bang for your buck on property

After hours is only Monday at Epcot and Wed at MK at least last time I looked. So if those parks/days don't work then probably not worth it.

CBR and after hours would get my vote. With the skyliner and proximity to Riviera for some rooftop cocktails and sunset views.

I love Beach Club, and I didn't particularly like CBR when we stayed there, but for that price difference, I would go with CBR and do the party... uber everywhere, have a really nice meal at a signature restaurant. Having a really nice experience with the $1300 is priceless. The room difference isn't worth that much, if you aren't planning on hanging out at the resort.
