ok probably going to ask a stupid question my DH and I are heading down to Dis in Oct to stay at SSR, we are thinking about purchasing the Deluxe Dining Plan, now out grand daughter has said she can pay for her ticket and come visit us since we would have 3 meals a day each can we take her to meals with us and 1 of us use our three meals a day that way? chances are DH or myself wouldn't eat three meals every day anyway.

You can't use DDP for persons who aren't signed up on your reservation with you.

You don't technically receive 3 meals a day. You receive 3 meal credits per person per night of your stay and it's up to you to use them all before midnight of your checkout day, when they expire. If you are two adults staying 7 nights you will receive 21 meal credits per person. Some restaurants cost 2 meal credits per person - if you go to any of those you aren't really getting 3 meals for 3 credits.

Your key card will say there are two people on your reservation and you'll be able to order only two meals and pay for them with DDP. Any other meals you order will have to be paid for outside DDP.

WDW also states that they don't permit sharing meals between persons on the dining plan and persons who are not.
