Deluxe Extra Nighttime Hours

Does anyone know if some of the dining locations will stay open?

I didn't notice any counter service locations being open at MK. Only a couple of the snack locations seemed open, maybe one in each land.

We were leaving and even most the stores on Main Street had closed early.... never seen that before.

Epcot we really didn't stay, were able to get on Remy with almost no wait at all. But we had already done what we wanted so left after that.
MK we did eight major attractions during our two hours of Extra Magic. Not sure how well the message is getting out about the evening hours for deluxe guest, or maybe with so many there for the Christmas Party, it's not a big thing right now.

Were you able to ride Remy without a boarding group during this extra magic hours? We area headed there this evening, and wondering if we will still need to get a boarding group? Thanks!

Yes, just walked up and scanned out Magic Band to prove eligibility as a Deluxe Resort guest.... they were turning away a lot of folks. We watched FW over in Italy, slowly walked toward the International Gateway and noticed a lot of folks heading to Remy and followed. Even with all the people heading there it was only about a 10 minute load time, but that could change now that it's a known benefit.

I hope this schedule sticks and doesn’t change for planning sake.

It looks like the schedule might be changing as of 2/21. MK and Epcot are swapping days, with MK taking the Monday slot and Epcot taking the Wednesday slot. It might change back to what it currently is, but I’d really like for it not to change at all with the park reservation system we now have. Or better yet, announce the schedule 6 months in advance to coincide with the reservation window.

Wow, yeah I didn’t think about park reservations and adrs. Once you do that , you want to be locked in. We are going during a busy time in 2022 so all that matters very much.

Really hard part is trying to plan a "rest" or hop to another park in the afternoon. Even with your best efforts a high demand LL booking might not be good for later in the afternoon or evening.

DHS I wouldn't plan on anything that day but that park....

Do they release the updates to the calendar weekly?

That is really annoying. Maybe it is because it is a holiday and they are keeping the busiest park open later.

Sent an email to GS. They are so clueless.

Don't hold your breath. I sent two emails while I was there over Thanksgiving and just got both "responses" this week. Nothing, but a form letter saying they have passed along my thoughts with the correct management team.

Yep, I believe they release the updates every Monday. Will be interesting to see what the schedule looks like moving forward.

I’d also assume that once they bring back more paid after hours events at MK (Villains After Hours, etc.) the schedule will change even further.

I am curious if people have found that its worth to stay deluxe for these extra hours? I kind of look at it as a 2 hour after party for basically just rides. Just don't know if its worth it for the extra money especially if you have genie plus. I prefer to stay deluxe and will if I can but currently have Pop for Skyliner purpose and cheap trip but thinking I need to go deluxe. Any thoughts?

Big jump in money from POP to say a Boardwalk resort.... might snag a room at Swan/Dolphin for not too much more (AP rates?).

I don't think the Epcot evening was worth anything really - attractions too spread out and park was just too packed to stay. But we did get a LOT done at Magic Kingdom in that one night. But I suspect in time more folks will come to know about this benefit and try to utilize it... making it less of a value. There is a schedule and it changes, will you be there for just one of the nights they have selected for MK evening hours, two night? How late are normal hours - so how late will you be up, two plus hours after that? Will that impact what you'll be able to do the next day - like not doing valuable early entry time?

I see it as a "plus" but not something to get me to change my budget.

Yeah those are great questions. I fly in on the 4th of February which is a MK night. We could be there in time for the 8 and stay until 10 since we are West Coast folks it won't be to late for us but we do like to do morning drops. I prefer Beach or Yacht or Boardwalk for many other reasons then just the extra hours but those are pricey for sure. The cheapest deluxe during the time we are there is AKL which I avoid because there is no advantage to staying there at all and need a rental car in my opinion to maximize your time. Its tough for me for sure. There would be an Epcot night on the 7th but who knows if I would stay up that late lol. Thanks for the help and talking it out

West Coast time difference and early hours... ouch. ;)

Yeah we do pretty well though. Right now I was able to book an Old Key West Studio and changed my dates to the 5th to the 10th. So we can go to Epcot Extra Hours and MK Extra Hours also. We still will get up early for the extra hours. Looking forward to it

Which nights are the MK and EP extra hours? I can’t find it on the Disney app.
