Good morning everyone! :sunny:
We've booked Whispering Canyon for one of our dinners on the Deluxe Dining plan. Anyone know how it works at WC?
We get an appetizer, entree, and dessert for table service meals.
Here's what I'm thinking but don't know if I'm right.
If someone orders ala carte, they'll get the app., the entree, and dessert.
If someone orders the skillet, it works like a buffet and all you get is what comes in the skillet (but all you can eat).
Is this right? Or is the skillet an "entree" for the purpose of the dining plan?

Any help is greatly appreciated!:goodvibes

I know you get to order a dessert on the skillet meal. I'm fairly confident you don't get to order an appetizer since it comes with corn bread and salad.

You do get an appetizer with the skillet meal on the deluxe plan. We ate there for breakfast and for dinner last May, and were on the deluxe plan and had the skillet for breakfast and dinner. With breakfast, you can get the fruit plate or the pastry basket (we got one of each since we both got an appy) and for dinner you choose from the appetizer menu (we got the wings and the cheese and sausage plate and recommend both highly). In addition, you can get a smoothie or a specialty coffee as one of your beverages at breakfast, and a milkshake as one of your beverages at dinner.

This was definitely one of the places where you just get too much food when you are on the deluxe plan. There were only 3 of us eating, but between us at breakfast we had two glasses of juice, two smoothies, one mocha, a fruit plate, a basket of pastries, two all you can eat skillets, and a kids meal with more fruit and chocolate chip pancakes. At dinner, we had wings, the cheese and sausage plate, three milkshakes, two all you can eat skillets, a kids meal with an appy, and three desserts. It was absolutely an insane amount of food!

My DS14 loved the milk shakes at WCC. (The strawberry, I think.) In fact, our family loved WCC so much we went twice last May. It was my DH's favorite restaurant.

An appetizer, all you can eat skillet plus dessert and milkshake for beverage sounds like one wouldn't need to eat for a week after that.

That's what I was thinking. I wouldn't want an appetizer when eating the skillet... maybe they'll let me get the chicken soup and put it in a to-go container to eat later.

Thanks everyone!
We've been to WC before and know how much food you get with the skillet, but have never been on the Dining Plan at all. We're excited to try it, but know we're going to be so stuffed!
