Deluxe Dining Questions

Me, my boyfriend, my dad and his girlfriend are staying at Poly in september. We each have seperate hotel rooms, both on the deluxe dining plan. But I am the one planning everything, this is my first time and I felt a little overwhelmed when I realized all that goes into planning a Disney vacation!

So my question is how does the deluxe dining plan work if I'm planning for TWO hotel rooms? Are the credits per person, or per room?
And when booking reservations, I'm assuming I have to book per room so that one group isn't using more credits than the other, so how would I go about that if we all want to eat dinner at the same table, same place, same time? Or would it be easier to just put the dinner for all of us on one room, and take turns using dining credits?

Ahhhhh I'm so confused!

If you have two separate room reservations (that means each room has its own separate reservation number), then the credits are per room - each room will have its own pool of credits that can't be shared with the other room.

However, the good news is that it doesn't matter at all how you book dining reservations. Your dining reservations have nothing to do with how many people are registered in your room. You can book them for your entire party or just part of the party. What you need to remember is that a key card from EACH ROOM will need to be presented when you pay for the meals. You will not be able to use a key card from your room to pay for meals for someone in the other room. If you have two people listed on your key card, you can only use it to buy two meals. You can tell the server whose meals will be billed to each card, so they can split the check and you can all eat together.
