Deluxe Dining Plan refillable mug question

We're doing the deluxe dining plan this next trip, and there is supposedly a refillable mug included in the plan. Since we've always done the regular dining before, and bought a mug, I'm not sure how to go about getting the mugs. Do we get a voucher for them when we check in?

Additionally, we have a split stay, with the deluxe dining plan for each resort. Will we get a new mug at the second resort?

New mug each resort. Just go to the counter service restaurant in the hotel and take the mugs to the cashier. They will run it through with your room key and be able to tell that you are owed the mugs. The mugs are generic at the resorts so maybe you can save the extra mugs for souviners for family members. I use mine all the time at home.

And is it as simple as taking the mug back to the food court/dining area, filling it up whenever you want and walking out with it? Do you have to stop by the cashier each time or is it grab and go?

After you buy the mug, it depends on where you are staying how you go about filling it. At POR, you just go up to the drink counter and fill it yourself. At Coronado Springs, you have to hand it to someone at the counter and have them fill it. I'm not sure about other resorts.

The mug is coded in your room card somehow. All you have to do is to pick up the mugs from any store that carries them and have them scan your card.

If you have a split stay, you should get a new mug at the second resort. It is a completely new plan.
