Hey everyone!! I'm Katie! I just posted this in my Pre-Trip report but figured I'd try here too!!

I leave in a week to head to the World! With me I will have my DSis(32), DBiL(35) and DN(7)! We will be doing the Deluxe Dining plan for the first time and I am super pumped to try all the new restaurants cause honestly Disney Dining is one of my favorite parts of my Disney Vacations!!!

Here are my ADRS:

Mon 2nd- We will be arriving to the resort and enjoying Afternoon Tea

Dinner will be at Narcoosees which is one of my most anticipated meals! We planned it for 9:15 so we can see the fireworks as well as the Electric Water Pageant.

Tues 3rd-
Lunch- Coral Reef
Dinner- The Garden Grill (I think my nephew will enjoy seeing the veggies from the Land ride on his dinner plate )

Wed 4th-
Breakfast - Tusker House
Lunch- Yak & Yeti
Dinner- Jiko (SUPER DUPER PUMPED FOR THIS ONE)

Thurs 5th-
Breakfast- Crystal Palace
Dinner- Be Our Guest (I've heard mixed reviews but overall I'm excited to try it)

Fri 6th-
Breakfast- Grand Floridian Cafe
Lunch- Biergarten
Dinner- Rose & Crown Pub

Sat 7th-
Lunch- Mama Melrose
Dinner- The Hollywood Brown Derby

Sun 8th-
Lunch- Liberty Tree Tavern
Dinner- My DN and I will be going on a date to Beaches and Cream while my DSis and DBiL have a date at Victoria and Alberts (only slightly jealous of them)

Mon 9th-
Lunch- Bongos Cuban Cafe
Dinner- T-Rex (DN request )

And sadly that is the end of our ADR's

Let me know what you guys think!! Also if you have any awesome snack recommendations since we will have a TON of them to use!!

THANKS!!

party:

One of my favorite snacks was the caramel corn from Karamell-Kuche in Germany at Epcot. Yum! Some of our other favorite snacks were: a funnel cake from a cart by the lake in Hollywood Studios, a Dole Whip in Adventureland, popcorn from the carts...

So many yummy things to try! I suggest googling "best snack at Disney" and you will find a number of lists that will give you more ideas.

One thing we didn't love that everyone raves about? The cinnamon rolls at Gaston's. Yes, they were huge but ours wasn't warm (it was almost cold) and it was pretty dry, just like a boxed bakery one. It definitely didn't impress us much.

Have fun!

Thanks! Dole whips are definitely on my have to's for the trip! Im going to have to check out the karamel kuche caramel corn! Last trip I had a chocolate caramel from there but i LOVE POPCORN so that sounds awesome! :yay:

Thanks again for the suggestions!!

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that Starbucks count as a snack credit not to mention that we actually can get Starbucks now!! SO HAPPY! We will probably be getting those in the mornings for most days :rotfl:

That will definitely make RD a lot easier to handle!!

Thanks for the suggestion, sounds like caramel corn is the way to go.

I read somewhere about some things in Norway that were supposedly pretty good as well as the egg rolls in Epcot at the Chinese pavilion I believe?

:jumping1:

Not sure about egg rolls but we've used snack credits in the little Germany caramel store.

When you're there, anything with a purple and white DDP square symbol next to it counts as a snack. You can probably google and find an image of menus from any restaurant to see what counts as a snack credit.

We love getting bags of kettle corn and Starbucks drinks.

Do you remember where you've gotten kettlecorn? I've seen carmel corn & regular salty popcorn at Disney, but never kettlecorn. It's one of my son's favorites. He'd be so excited. Not that we have a trip planned any time soon, but for future reference. Thanks!

We love the jalapeno cream cheese pretzels in Animal Kingdom.

When we did the Deluxe Dining plan, we found that we didn't really want snacks on the days we had a lunch and a dinner. I think that was partially because it was a hot week - we don't seem to want as much when it is hot.

I think that most days we will be using at least one snack for coffee in the morning, so hopefully that wont fill us up before lunch or dinner. With 2 snack credits pp I feel like that can cover a lot of ground!

One of our Epcot days where we just have ADR's for Breakfast and Dinner I believe the snack credits will make up our lunch.

But more than likely we will be getting some Rice Crispie bars and such as souvenirs :rotfl2:

That's what we end up doing. When we get the DXDP at a discount, we save money on just the meal portion, so the snacks are just a bonus savings.

Whatever we don't use we bring home - lots of kettle corn, rice crispy treats, energy drinks if we are driving, etc.

I think our favourite day of "snacking" in EPCOT included a stop in the Bakery in France. I had a bowl of lobster bisque & some decadent desserty type thing. Hubby had ham & cheese on a croissant & creme brulee. They were ALL snack credits!!

OMG DID YOU JUST SAY CREME BRULEE WAS A SNACK CREDIT!!! :goofy:

That is like my favorite dessert haha. I just got super excited! And that lobster bisque sounds fantastic. I cannot wait for snack time at Epcot!!

:jumping1:

The egg rolls in China are AMAZING and a snack credit. I got it last trip and was like, why the heck did I wait so long?! The caramel store is the best, everything is so good that I allocated 1/2 our snacks for that place this past trip. There was some delicious chocolate caramel cookies, everything is really good there.

Overall, we get whatever we're in the mood for so if it's a hot day I'll use snack credits on PowerAde, ice cream, whatever the kids want. We always end up with extra anyway. Enjoy!!

We find with deluxe that we are always so full so we got cold drinks for the most part. Le Fou's Brew at Gaston's in MK is a nice frosty drink on a hot day. Mango green and peach oolong tea at Joy of Tea is wonderful. We usually have some credits leftover so we stop at the caramel shop in Germany and stock up. Their rice crispy treat covered in chocolate and caramel is so good. The caramel popcorn is delicious too but it does go stale pretty fast. The gift shops at the hotels have packaged snack mixes too. Most of them are pretty good.

Kasifari bakery in animal Kingdom has some great treats. We are never hungry enough to eat anything there but we usually try to get something packed to go and leave it in the fridge in our room to the next day.

Thanks for the suggestion! Animal Kingdom always seem like a hard place for me to figure out snacks :goodvibes

I will have to figure out where that bakery is!

Hollywood Studios last time we got some cupcakes from Starring Rolls which were awesome, and there are tons of options in Epcot.... Magic Kingdom I usually get a Dole Whip but not sure about other snack options.

Thanks again!

By our last night we still had 23 (of 48) snack credits left. We had so much food on the DDP that we just were not that hungry. I used them at the store to buy 23 bags of Goofy's Candy Company and Chip-n-Dale's Snack Company treats. We ate some on our cruise the next week and brought the rest home.
