Chapter 10: I Will Finish This Even If It Kills Me

Takes a deep breath….okay I’m going to give this a go and hopefully finally finish this TR!! I’m not one to not finish something I start, so I refuse to just leave this TR! Spring was a bit hectic for my family! We are in the process of moving to Austin, TX so that means repairs on the house, packing, putting together resumes, applying for jobs, attending job fairs, Phillip’s graduation, and his ordination. We have been busy! On top of that was spring preparations at school and church for a variety of activities, so to say the least writing this TR and spending time on the DIS had to backburned for awhile! So to whoever is still around I hope you, I thank you for your patience with me!! And here we go…..let’s all just be thankful that I took good notes in my journal in October LOL!!!

So we ended our last evening with a delightful dinner with a wonderful friend and a great view of Wishes! I slept very well that evening and was awake bright and early the next morning to head back to DHS! I just love this park, growing up the couple of times I went I didn’t really get the magic, however as I went back in 2009 I fell more and more in love with this park. It was a gorgeous, but very warm morning when I arrived at DHS! I was very excited because today would be the day P would arrive around lunchtime!!

I began my morning by going and acquiring FPs for Toy Story Mania, I decided to wait to ride it until later and headed over to my fave, The Great Movie Ride. Once again I tried to get some new pictures that I hadn’t attempted before.

After GMR, I was pretty close to the front so I decided to go ahead and rent a locker for P who was going to head straight to DHS after a quick stop to check in and drop off her luggage! I made sure to say hi to Bo and took a few pictures in front of the Sorcerer’s hat!

At this point I was a little lost at what I should do next? Explore the Streets of America, finally go see the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, oooh…I knew it was time to go see The Backlot Tour. It had been under refurbishment the last time I had been there so I was excited to go see it again. So I head that way taking a detour through Pixar Place. That is when this little fellow came out to play!

It was so adorable to watch him dance around!! I loved it!!! After his show it was off to the Backlot tour. It was a lot of fun! I really love seeing the old memorabilia!

Have to love PTOC items!!

Definitely would not volunteer for this…Wet Jen and Disney does not mix LOL!!!

UHOH things are about to get exciting!!!

OH NO…more water!!!!! Quick cover the camera in one of the 6 ponchos I packed with me in the Mary Poppins bag!!

I wonder how much it would cost to get me one of these????


Last stop, the room of lots of movie stuff!! I love it in here!!

Chariot of the Ice Queen in Narnia!! Very cool music by the way during that scene, I have it on my MP3 player and listen all the time LOL

Davy Jones’ Organ, I also have this song on my MP3 player!! LOL well actually I have a lot of Disney music on my MP3 player!!

As I stepped back out into the bright sun, I got a text from P telling me she was on her way! So it was back to the front I went! I made sure to stop and grab another set of FP for us and then it was to the turnstiles to finally meet a dear friend!!

Hey Jen!

I really enjoyed your update and especially all your photos of the Backlot Tour. I haven't done the water effect tank and tram portion of the tour in a long time (usually I just make a quick stop to the last room with all the costumes and props by sneaking through the shop ). Maybe this could be something to add to my "next time list".

I love the backlot tour shots, I don't think I've actually ever seen photos from it on a TR before. Makes me want to make it a must do! And the pixar light...must see, I can just picture how cute he must be.
