Deluxe DDP?

Can someone ezplain the deluxe dining plan to me like i'm stupid? I'm very familar with the basic plan since we always use that. but since we are only taking a quick 3 night trip for our anniversary I thought we might splurge. A soecific question is about the refillable mugs included can they only be used at the resort? and are they the standard 2008 mugs so i could technically but against the rules use them for our 2 other trips this year? TIA

Your not stupid! It is a very reasonable question!

Ok.....so the only differences between the regular DP and the deluxe is this:

1) Instead of 1 Counter service, 1 Table service and 1 snack per night per person, you now can get 3 table service meals and 2 snacks per night per person. (Or you can just use counter service, but you get your money's worth by using Table service)

2) You get appetizers for lunch and dinner with the Deluxe plan. In regular DP, you only get entree, dessert and non alcoholic drink, with the deluxe, you add in a appetizer per person.

Other than that, the plans are basically the same. You must still pay tips with either plan, but taxes are included.

As far as the mugs go, I don't know about the changes, so I can't tell you which mugs they have now, but I can tell you that you are only allowed to use it in your disney resort and that the mugs are now free with the deluxe DP.

Thanks. I decided to upgrade to deluxe now I just have to try and get some more ADR's. I guess if I can't I can always downgrade back to regular. We were previously just eating at our resort and having a 2 TS on our anniversary. Now I have to figure out where we are going when so that I know where to eat. Soooooo many decisions. And I'm going to try and keep it a secret. I'm sure his idea of a suprise would be a Richard Petty Driving Experience but he's just gonna have to wait a little longer for that one.
