We have decided to splash out and stay at a Deluxe for the duration of next holiday.

After much thought, we are reduced to the following list: The Polynesian, BoardWalk Inn, Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge.

Making this trip is my Brother (WDW Rookies) and I (Seasoned Disney visitor) in our early thirties looking to have fun in and out of the Parks, partake in some nighttime activities (of the Club kind) as well as indulge in some out-of-Park activities like boating and a few rounds of Golf. We are staying for 10 nights and lets say (for now anyway) that money is no object.

Your thoughts please!

You may want to look more closely at the Polynesian. It offers watercraft rentals and is convenient to the Oak Trail, Palm, and Magnolia golf courses. AK Lodge is landlocked and is remote from the golf courses, with WL somewhere in the middle of these options.

I say pick two and have double the fun!

I'd pick one for theme and one for location.

So, which park do you want to be near? whichever park that is, then pick the deluxe.

Which hotel has your interest? Pick that one! I think the same architect did WL and AK so keep that in mind.

Another difference, I found the prices for the POLY and BW much higher than the AKL and WL. I realize price is no object, but I did notice the trend over the last year. We stayed in the WL and it was our second stay of the year after staying in the POLY and I don't know if it was because of comparison, but I just didn't love the WL like everyone else. It was nice, it was pretty but I missed the POLY.

So, if it were me, I'd choose the POLY for theme and location, and the AK to finish up the trip - concierge! Watch animals, sip cordials and relax.

Boardwalk:

1. It has its own nightlife including an ESPN Club, Jellyrolls a nightclub (21 and over only), and Atlantic Dance for dancing (21 and over only), action on the walk, and a very good pool.

2. You can walk to two partks, MGM and Epcot.

3. You are within walking distance of over 20 restaurants at BW, YC/BC, S/D, Epcot and MGM.

We always split stays and it's perfect. We do one MK resort and one Epcot resort and have the best of both worlds. Our perfect stay is the one we're finally able to do in June - 1/2 Polynesian and 1/2 Dolphin.

Make sure you do Jellyrolls on the BW one night, it's a blast!!!

I have stayed at all of your choices, and my personal favorite is a savannah view room at the AKL. However, given the stuff you'd like to do, I would probably recommend the BWI. It has a nighlife of its own, so you can easily go there instead of or in addition to Pleasure Island. Plus, the proximity to Epcot is great. It's an easy walk. The decor might be a bit feminine. The Polynesian had excellent transportation with monorail access, and the AKL has really neat views of animals. I am also a big fan of splitting stays so you can experience different resorts, so I would probably split between the BWI and AKL. Hope this helps! :)

Disney provides a free taxi to any of its golf courses from any of its resorts, so you should be ok with that no matter which you choose.

Boardwalk definitely has the most nightlife, and it is close to Epcot and MGM.

The Polynesian and Wilderness Lodge both have some kind of boat rentals.

Boardwalk does not, but the Yacht and Beach Club does, which is right next door.

I don't think AK Lodge has any boat rentals.

Downtown Disney Marketplace has boat rentals as well, which is a bus ride from any of the resorts.

So, based mainly on the more active nightlife, I'd go with the Boardwalk.

Regardless, good luck, and I'm sure you'll have fun!

Either the Poly or the WL. They are the best ones out of the ones you listed there.

You want to party? BWI. Take it from a 22-year-old. :)
