Ok disers i need your help

we had a first visit to disney this maywell.. it didn't turn out well so we are going back in feb 2011. my question is we were on the basic dining plan and it was good we had some wonderful food but we also orderd from garden grocer and had orderd to much so what i'm asking is when we go in feb should we move up to the delux plan is it worth it? does it get to be a pretty cumbersome process to make all thoes dining reservations? and can you elaborate on what the delux plan includes? thanks everyone.

The deluxe dining plan costs about $72 per night per adult and about $21 per night per child. It includes three meal credits (which can be used for either CS or TS) and two snack credits per person per night, plus a refillable resort mug for each person.

The other big difference is that TS meals for lunch and dinner include appetizers for adults, plus the entree and dessert and nonalcoholic beverage.

Keep in mind it's possible the dining plans could change for 2011 but that is what the allotments are for deluxe in 2010.

have done the deluxe a couple of times now...did not find it cumbersome to make the reservations (especially with the on-line system: easy! And easy to cancel & book something else, too.)

Don't order anything from Garden Grocer if you do the Deluxe - you won't need any extra food or drink.

Other piece of advice...if you're going to use the deluxe as 3 meals a day, schedule your reservations at least 5-6 hours apart. You won't be hungry before that! Or use your snack credits & refillable mug for light breakfast, then 1 TS lunch, and a 2 TS dinner.

I would go with the deluxe plan. There is something about the freedom you feel when you know you can order whatever your heart desires and it's already paid for (except gratuity, obviously!). For us, it adds to the special feeling of vacation.

And definitely agree with the advice re: spacing your meals. We normally do 2 credit meals for dinner and use a snack credit for lunch because we're so full from breakfast!

we're doing deluxe for the first time in Sept and that's exactly what I did for our ADR's....made our breakfasts for 7:45 / 8:00 am, lunch at 2:00 pm and dinner at 7:00. Then we'll have the snack credits for in-between if we need it.

to the OP, making ADR's online is super easy. Now, you can even put in your time and which park (or resort, or both) and ALL the restaurants that are available for your time will pop up. I wish it were that simple when I made ours!!!

I LOVE the idea that everything is basically pre-paid (except tips). It does make it feel more of a vacation. We decided that for us, this was just more economical and easier. and who doesn't like easier !!!

We like the deluxe plan, no extra food is needed if you get it. We like it because we go to TS restaurants, not CS, would order an app at dinner and sometimes lunch anyway and use the snacks for water which is an expense we would have anyway, so this way we save a lot of money too. We do a lot of 2 credit restaurants though, and with only 2 meals a day its enough and sometimes more than enough food.

The first time we did deluxe it was overwhelming trying to do everything but we loved it. Planning is the key. We are doing deluxe again this time but as we have been to the parks a lot in the past 2 years we can be more flexible about what we 'have' to see & do. Staying at the Contemporary is going to be a plus for us cause of monorail & boat convenience to several of our ADR's not to mention Chef Mickey's right in the resort & CP & CRT within walking distance. I'm only worried about 1 of our days tho. Have Cape May for bkfst/Whispering Canyon for lunch/& Biergarten for dinner....gonna be a lot of food for one day, lol.
