I posted this on the transportation board but maybe more people with see it here. FYI-

We're flying on Delta from Boston in May. I happened to be on Delta.com checking skymiles and went to look at my itinerary. I noticed my flights were changed and our seats were now unassigned. Turns out they are switching several of their flights from 737's to 757's. If you have a flight sheduled with Delta coming up, you may want to check to see if any changes have been made.

Actually if you had assigned seats before you STILL have assigned seats. Whenever Delta changes their flight schedules seats will show as unassigned until the final change is made, then it "resolves" in the system and the seats show as assigned again. This happens every time I book with Delta more than a couple of months in advance, the flight schedule changes and seats show as unassigned for a while until it all resolves in the system, then they show up again as assigned.
