I had a trip booked to take DL1899 (departs BOS at 7:30 pm on May 5th and had noticed it was "on hold" in my itinerary. I bugged Delta Special Member services today for an answer as to what this means and they have confirmed with operations that this flight will be cancelled on or about May 1st and that is why my itinerary has the notation. They have not figured out how to map the very few people on this flight to new flights. This flight will eventually move to a smaller plane (MD88 versus 757) and be available in the schedule again. Right now that won't occur until June 8th, so according to Delta operations, all flights from May 1 to June 7th will most likely be cancelled as the 757 will be taken off the route and used for other longer haul flights. The alternative booking they offered me is a 6:40 pm to ATL with an MCO connection getting into MCO just after midnight.

And howdy right back to you neighbor.

Eveybody sing now "It's a small world after all ...." :rolleyes1

I was booked on a 7pm to Bos from MCO. I saw it was canceled an I was moved to a 3 pm flight. I have not notified Delta yet I was waiting to see how long it takes them to notify me. :listen:
I was thinking of extending my holiday to Disney this will allow me time to make more plans then call them to change the flight to when I want to come home at thier expense no change fee for me  .

I hope they let me stay a few extra days as I had a party at my cousins house at 10 am so 7 pm flight was perfect now a 3 pm flight means I would miss the party.

You might want to check out Jetblue's prices for the times you are traveling. Delta will refund your money given the current situation. If the prices are close, I would think about rebooking with jetblue. I think its going to take Delta a while to figure all this out.

good luck!
