I avoid Delta. When nothing goes wrong it’s fine. But if things go wrong they have zero customer service. And for some reason every time I flew with them my suitcase would come off the carousel missing a wheel, broken handle....
But the worst (for me) was when I arrived on a late evening flight and my luggage didn’t. Because of the lateness of arrival I booked a beach hotel for the night, thought we’d enjoy the beach in the morning then continue on to our destination.
Delta stops delivering luggage after midnight I think it was, (my hotel concierge said that’s ridiculous, every other airline delivers thru the night) so I explained to Delta we were only at this hotel one night and check out is 11am and we were continuing on our trip.
Delta promised they’d put a special rush on my luggage and it would be first delivery. Yeah right. My luggage was finally delivered at 5PM, and I had to pay for late check out to wait that late. Delta customer service? Zero.
