Help!:furious: Delta has now changed flights on my 2 times in a week and didn't notify me. This time we had a 3.5 hour layover so I called. They said fine, we could leave later from Orlando. OK! But, they couldn't assign seats on our connecting flight because it was overbooked! Now we are leaving at 4:40 PM...ok for Disney but not getting in until 8:55 and we have a 2 hour drive home.

OK...now that I've vented I feel a little better. I just have to remember we now get an extra 4 hours at WDW.:sunny:

Oh yes, they changed our departing flight twice in a week or so It was leaving at 6:00 p.m. now it leaves at 8:05=wasn't called either-just decided to see what prices had gone to and saw it- anyway -we get a longer last day- hope we aren't just exhausted- we get home at 8:50 -gain an hour back- we are 10 minutes from airport!! we leave at 8 in the morning-Finally!!

Their site has been down all day. I wonder if thy're making more changes!!!!! My flight has :drive: been changed at least three times. The day I go is now leaving at 8:05 at night. Thank god I usually book the flights the night before and stay at the HYATT at the airport. It makes for a much more relaxing trip to get up early the day I want to be there and drive to Wilderness lodge and eat breakfast at whispering canyon

On our last trip on American, they changed our flight time 4 times! And the worst part was I had chosen the earliest flight out so we could get there earlier. It cost more to leave in the morning than the later flights, and of course we ended up getting there on the last flight of the day after they cancelled the morning flights a week prior to our trip. I asked for the difference in the prices but was told that I was lucky there were even seats left for us on the late flight! Grrr

Well, I was feeling very smug that our Delta flights hadn't yet been changed. We booked them in March for an October flight. (Last year's flight had experienced several changes, so we were expecting them this time, too.)

Then someone on the disboards mentioned that the fall schedule had been published and changes were likely. Went to the Delta flight today and found that both our outgoing and incoming flights had changed. The times weren't too far off (we fly in the day before the cruise and stay at the MCO Hyatt), but our primo seats had disappeared. Called Delta today and they restored our original seats. (This hasn't always happened in the past.)

Guess we'll have to start the once-a-week routine of checking our ressies for changes. Last year they only notified us of one of the changes. The rest were unannounced.

This aggravation is only alleviated by the fact that other airlines do similar changes to match new flight schedules. I should mention that last year we had seats booked on Song, and then they started eliminating those flights.

Our flight on Delta has changed for the 4th time, though this change is in our favor....went from a 38 minute layover in ATL to an hour. I have been checking our flight on a daily basis, guess that will be the plan from now on!

Oh I am so nervous about flying. Our flights have changed several times since booking them. I am a planner and have everything planned down to the minute. Them changing the flights is upsetting me, because I have no control. Our flight is to land at 9:25am so we can get an early start at WDW. We also have ressie at spa and Cali Grill for dinner that same day. If I have to change that at the last minute I will scream. I want everything to fall into place and not change. This is our 25th anniversary/honeymoon we never took vaction. I have planned and tried to make it perfect for us. I hope Delta doesnt ruin it.

With twenty-five years to plan it, I'm sure you've thought of everything to make this a wonderful 25th anniversary/h-w-n-t vacation. However, you're going to have an even better time if you take a deep breath, try to relax, and realize that there are many things in life over which you have no control. Trying to control them will only frustrate you ["...I will scream."] when there are blips on the horizon.

My partner and I have travelled and cruised quite a bit, and our mantra - the attitude that has permitted us to enjoy our trips while others were getting exercised over those things of which they have no control, is one of 'Life is an adventure.'

We can't control the weather (hurricanes destroying Cozumel; delayed flights due to severe storms), other people/governments (rude tourists; the 6-Day war that cancelled our Egypt trip), seasonal variations (stately homes in England that close in the off-season because they don't want vistors tracking mud onto their floors; no Evensong services at Cambridge because of school holidays).

Sometimes those very disappointments are opportunities for even more enjoyable alternatives. So try to 'go with the flow' and we're sure you'll have a great time. Don't give Delta (or anyone else) the power to spoil your wonderful trip. <gets down off soap box>

Good advice. When travelling, you have to pretty much plan on something going wrong, so when it does, you can deal with it, not fall to pieces.

Delta cannot ruin your trip with something as minor as a flight time change unless you let it.
