Delta Flight even lower!!!

My Delta flight for September out of Hartford is now $100.25 - tax included!!

And I thought $111 wouldn't be beat!

Why does my flight keep on going up?? I paid $111 for New York to West Palm Beach and today it's $169.

My Sept flight from SAT to LAX dropped from $179 to $153. I got a voucher for the difference. I'd have never known about vouchers, except through the DIS boards. Thank You!!!!!

How did you get the vouchers? Did you call Delta or did you have to go to the ticket desk at the airport to get them?

I called Delta, and the rep had to check to make sure it wasn't an 'internet special fare', but was available through regular reservations. Then she transfered me to another person who did a 'downgrade' of the ticket.(My original fare code was L, the new fare code was U) I gave the rep my e-ticket record locator number. The whole process took about 15 to 20 minutes.

They will make sure they are for the same flights, etc. to be eligible. The vouchers are good for future flights (within 1 year I think...I haven't received them yet). To redeem your vouchers you must book either through Delta phone lines or travel agent...not the internet.

Our Delta tickets state"This is a special fare ticket. Changing your reservation may result in penalties and increased fare." ...not that special a fare...it's gone down $30 since I booked...Should I try to go for it?

It never hurts to call Delta and ask. My e-tkt from the internet said the same thing, but they changed it. Even though it is a special fare, I think it would work, unless it was an 'Internet Only' fare. If you could have called and gotten the same fares from the Delta phone reps, they'll probably send a voucher, and a new confirmation.
If you booked through a travel agent or onthe net, but not through Delta.com, I'd contact whomever I bought the tkts from.

I called and got a $49 voucher per ticket! The rep said it was the price in their system, and not the internet price, that they go by. EXTREMELY courteous, too...I was very impressed...I am more of a delta fan than ever... not to mention a DIS board fan... thanks for the tip, guys!

I just booked roundtrip from Dallas 7/27 thru 08/02 for 111.50 RT. I had been watching the fares this week, knowing today was the 14 day advance purchase day. Rates went down from DFW around noon. Happy Dance
