Has anyone stayed here? DH and I are thinking of going for a long weekend in Sept b/c we found a rate of $30 CDN/night.
I'm just wondering why it's $30CDN if there's no "catch."

Any reviews? Thanks! :)

It's fine- your basic 3-4 star hotel. And that's a fantastic rate. Book it. It's in a central location, even if it isn't close to anything specific, and the train is only 1/2 a block away.

That is our favorite hotel to stay at in Toronto! 30.00 Canadian is an excellent rate! We usually spend a minumum of 100.00 per night when we go. It could be low because that is a lull time for them? It is walking distance to the stores, the theaters, the bars, the eateries...I like parking the car and not using it all weekend. Beofre kids we used to go up there a number of times a year, now we're lucky if we get up there once a year. Funny I was thinking of heading up there soon...thanks for reminding me!

Actually, what's weird is that it's one of their "signature club" rooms for the $30/night. I know that it includes the private lounge and continental b-fast daily.
We booked the room for 9/2-9/7...which is over labor day weekend.
Look online if you'd like to take advantage of it. I know it's still there b/c I just cancelled my original reservation and re-booked it for a few nights less.
It's going to be $129 (US) for those 5 nights.
Yipee!! We always stumble upon the best deals when going to visit Toronto!!

Thanks for the reviews. I was worried that there would be something "wrong" but it sounds like it'll be a nice hotel! :cool1:

It is a very nice hotel, but I'm shocked at the rate you got. That seems really low for what they normally charge. I stayed there one night over 10 years ago and it was at least $200 a night back then for a standard room.

That is a great rate. We stayed in May - over $100.00 per night. It's a very nice hotel.
Unfortunately, our favorite city has recently hit the news due to gun violence. A 15 year old girl was accidentally shot to death last Monday, not far from the Delta. They're still investigating, but it appears to be gang related. In my opinion, you're still safer in Toronto than you are in any major U.S. city, but be aware of your surroundings and realize that the city isn't quite as safe as it once was.

Oh I see the rate you are getting. It looks like an error. The standard rooms are going for at least $100 more. I actually think it is supposed to be $230 not $30. I would imagine they have to honour your reservation though.
