If you are flying Delta on April 4, 2021, check your flight status for cancellation or delay. Apparently, Delta has a pilot staffing issue, with not enough available to operate all scheduled flights. The shortage also has caused Delta to unblock some middle seats, during that time, to accommodate customers whose flights are cancelled.
Delta phone lines are backed up for hours, and social media platforms are not much better. Customers are furious that flights are being cancelled within 24 hours of departure.
