Just an FYI to fellow Delta flyers going out of Bradley - I was just checking our Delta flights for October and noticed that they've changed the equipment from MD-88s each way to Airbus 320s for our flights. I also checked, out of curiosity, to see what equipment is listed for our trip next May; those dates are also showing A320s.

The reason I mention this is that the MD-88s have a 3/2 seat configuration in coach, but the A320 seats are 3 and 3 on each side of the aisle. After swapping equipment, Delta put DH and I in the same seat numbers on the A320 that we had on the MD-88. However, while they also put DS in the same seat number on the new plane (which was somewhat up front), they moved DDIL to a seat in the very back of the plane by herself. We were able to reselect her seat online and she is back next to DS.

You may want to check your flight seat assignments if you have a pending MCO trip out of BDL, just to be sure.

We just booked our flights for April yesterday and still need to book for October (which I think I'm going to split SW and Delta) . . I did notice the change, I've been checking prices ever since they first came out at the 330 day mark . .wondering if they will switch it back to the MD88. Right now I have both me and DH sitting at the aisle seats . . .I don't like to be in the middle . . .

I check our seat assignments almost weekly because it seems like Delta/Soutwest are always changing seats around, changing planes, changing flight times by a minute or 2 and that screws everything up. Even after you select yours seats, keep checking up until your trip. When I checked last week, they had changed planes and had my entire family scattered all over the place even though I had already selected our seats twice before. If it happens again, it will be the 4th time that we were switched around.

Our Aug. flights out of BDL on Delta did the same thing awhile ago. Thankfully I have learned to check each week. Our seats were reassigned all over the place at the time so I was able to get them all back so the 4 of us are together. The best advice is to check your flights each week for equipment and time changes.

Last year Delta changed our flights about 10 times, all the way up to 2 weeks before our April trip. :surfweb:
Good luck all,
Joe

We fly in September and Delta has changed flight numbers, etc three times so far. I had to phone and get us on another flight because they had lengthened our layover to close to 3 hrs. They are real nice about changing our reservation, but it kind of messes with our car rental reservation!
