We normally fly Southwest, but we have some Delta miles to use that may make it feasible. We're not used to paying fees for baggage though. I see on Delta's website that it's $25 per bag. Is that round trip or $25 each way? If it's $25 round trip I guess that's not too bad, but I have a feeling it's likely each way.

Thanks!

It's each way. One way around it though is to get the Delta American Express Card. One card holder entitles themselves and up to 8 others to not have to pay the baggage fee. There is a $95 yearly fee, but it's waived for the first year. You also get a block of miles if you spend $1K(?) within the first three months.

If you are paying the luggage fee, do it online before you leave on your trip. I believe if you pay the fee at the airport, it's more expensive.
