I'm looking into buying a Dell Inspiron laptop and would like to know if I really need so many years of a warranty. I was thinking of going with a 2-year plan (2Yr Ltd Warranty, 2Yr At-Home Service, and 2Yr Technical Support). Is that enough? Too much? Is it cheaper to buy a router from a local store or should I buy it from them?
I am specifically looking at the Inspiron 6000, is that too old? I really want to keep it at the $800-$900 range since I already have a desktop.

Is Pentium better than Celeron?

There's a big difference between Dimension and Inspiron -- one's a desktop, the other's a laptop! :)

The short answer is, Yes, Pentium is that much better than Celeron.

I personally wouldn't buy a used computer, but I'm a developer and I cringe every time I buy a computer because it is already almost obsolete by the time it is delivered.

Thanks. I do understand the difference between the Inspiron and Dimension :) . I don't need too much of a power house of a laptop because my desktop is my power house. I'm just trying to decide on the warranty issue now.
