I saw that you mentioned something about seeing Mary Poppins -- I'm going to try to drag someone with me to that if it comes to Boston. My best friend and fellow musical geek is going to be studying in Morocco for two semesters so I need to see if my mom or anyone would be interested.

Oh, I thought of you on Sunday! When I went to see RENT, they were offering a backpack (one of those with the strings that tighten the top) AND a program for only $20, and the first thing I thought when I decided to buy it was, "this is going to be my new Disney bag -- no more overstuffed Vera bag!"

Exactly. Super bonus! I'm so excited. I need a vacation. Work has been brutal this summer.

64 Days until Disney!!!

I received my Shake N' Bake Sandals today. Very exciting. I had to wait TWO whole weeks for them. Shoebuy's super quick shipping has spoiled me.

I was skeptical at first when I put them on. They felt a bit tight. I wore them for about an hour when I got home. I weighed the pros and cons of baking them. Did I want to take a chance? Or did I want to return them and try some other flippies? Decisions, decisions.

Well I bit the bullet and popped them into the oven.

Cook at 225 degrees for 3 minutes. Take out of oven and stand in them for 2 minutes. Then take a walk in them.

It was fun! It was like a science project.

I've been wearing them all night and I'm liking them. I do not like the state of my feet, must get pedicure before Disney! I'm going to keep wearing them to break them in. I think they will be a good evening shoe after a midday break.

While running my errands at Walmart this evening I picked up two more things for the trip. In the travel size aisle I picked up a package of Shout Wipe & Go stain remover wipes. Also in the bandaid aisle I picked up some Nexcare Waterproof Abrasion Covers. Mom brought these down in May for me and we put them on my blisters. They are breathable and waterproof so they worked well. I looked for them last time I went blister product shopping and couldn't find them so I figured I should grab them tonight.

Last week I had some running around to do and a lot of walking so I threw on my sneakers with my new double layer shouldn't give me blisters socks. I had been unsure about them in the short amount of time I had been wearing them around the house.

I was very pleased with them, they were more comfortable then I thought. At first is was weird walking around the house with double layer socks because they would rub kinda but when they are in the sneakers you can't even tell. I ordered 3 pairs so I think I will order another bundle of 3 pair again before I go.

I can't tell you how much of my time is spent worrying about blister prevention.

I know this is not one of the more popular Disney Movies but I adore this one. It has such a great story about family and it's funny! It holds a special place in my heart too because Marc & I watched it for the first time on our horrible honeymoon cruise last summer. You know how they have the movies on a rotation? We watched Meet the Robinsons, Penelope, The Bucket List and Definitely, Maybe over and over again for a week. But I have fond memories sitting on our little couch in our room watching Meet the Robinsons for the first time, wishing that we had gone to Disney for our honeymoon!

I really wish I could have caught them in the parks when they were doing Meet & Greets!

Yep, I need to find my Meet the Robinson's DVD. You're the second person to mention that movie recently and I can barely remember what its about, but I want to see it again.

When we were considering extending our trip a few extra days, we found the Tuesday return was much cheaper than a Sat/Sun thru Southwest. Made the decision much easier!

Your plans of resort switching transportation look good - so nice of Jen to help you out! We used the Disney luggage transportation dealy and it took a LONG while to get our luggage...but if you are headed for a slow day at DTD, it won't matter!

I figure if we ever do a resort switch again, we'll take our bags in a taxi for ease and speed.

Ooo! A night at All Star Movies? I can't wait to see the report. We'll be staying there in October and I'm looking foward to see how you like it.

I have to admit, I did enjoy Meet the Robinsons. It was really cute. After a string of Disney films that I didn't like all that much (Brother Bear, Home on the Range, Chicken Little), this one seemed like a glimmer of hope that Disney animation could be what it once was again.
