We added a day to our October trip because of plane fares too. We saved a bunch of money by flying Monday - Sunday instead of Tuesday - Sunday. Add the day, for sure!

I agree with the rest I think you should add the extra night and get in the night before and get a full day of rest and enjoy some more MK time!!

The more MK time is a HUGE draw to me. You know how I have been worried about not enough MK time!

Um, hello more time in Disney-its a no brainer. Add the extra night!!

We had the same issue when I added DH and changed our dates. We went from flying on Wednesdays to Sundays and the airfare killed us. I will never do a Sunday-Sunday trip again.

I think you should take a personal nurse just in case your feet hurt again. For a few extra thousand you can take me along with you in case you need me to bandage your feet or anything.

I'll let you sleep in my room(s) and you can pay for your airfare...deal?

So delightfully evil!

I love Ursula for many reasons.

*She's from The Little Mermaid, we all know how I feel about that movie.
*She's purple.
*She's evil.
*She looks JUST like my grandmother.

Seriously. She even has the same mannerisms of my grandmother. In case you were suspecting, my grandmother is not the warm and fuzzy type of grandmother. In fact, I don't get along with her at all even as a child. We just rub each other the wrong way. My cousins and I would tee hee and giggle while watching The Little Mermaid because our Mema looked JUST LIKE HER. She was not amused when we pointed this out to her.

Now if I was more evil and Ursula-like, I'd post a picture of my Mema but I believe that my karma couldn't take it, so use your imaginations. Marc & I were watching The Little Mermaid the other night searching for Hidden Mickey that Jen told me about in her PTR and we are watching Ursula and Marc asks me a question.

Marc: How long has your grandmother been spending winters in Florida?

Me: Only since she met Roger (her husband), so the last 10 years or so. Why?

Marc: (In a totally serious voice) I was just wondering if the animators saw her on the street one day and decided to model Ursula after her.

Me: Laughing uncontrollably.

You know that lip biting thing Ursula does? Mema TOTALLY does it. It's creepy. I don't see her often anymore but whenever I do, I have to resist humming Poor Unfortunate Souls to myself.

I fear this post makes me sound heartless and mean....I apologize for that. Some people are just not nice and my grandmother is one of them. I came to terms with that many years ago. I have to keep myself laughing about it or I'd cry.

Moving along...
On a sad note, I have read that The Little Mermaid on Broadway is shutting down in August. I was really hoping to go see this. I also read in the same article that they are planning a National tour but I fear that this won't get off the ground. I'm toying with the idea of going to NYC just for a day...I don't really want to stay overnight and we live close enough where we might just be able to do it. I'll keep you posted.

LL- you are quite industrious to have a pretrippie and a trippie go out the same time...I just about ruined my keyboard by spraying coffee all over it when I read the about about your Mema...it isn't really funny that she isn't nice kind to you... but sometimes the best you can do is to try to see whatever humor you can in it...I will never be able to see Ursula the same way again...BTW have you ever seen the Mary Poppins musical-you would love it...I was really lucky to see in in London right before it opened in New York in 2006 and was listening to the soundtrack of it when I had to pick my disboards user name...

I think your plans sound great and if you can manage it -add the day...-you are celebrating your BD and getting to go the Hallowen Party......I really want to go to the Halloween party and am really anxious to read what you think about it...

(If I can swing it-I'd really like to swing a short trip to DW next October 2010-she'll be turning 16 and I know she'd love to celebrate there and we'd get to do the HParty to boot so I will be hanging on your every word...)

I have not seen Mary Poppins YET. Keyword YET. I will absolutely see it. It's on the National Tour right now and usually shows come to Boston so I am hoping for that. If it doesn't come soon then I will probably do a trip to NYC to see it.

I hope you can swing the Fall Trip next year. MNSSHP is SO worth it. It's a great time!

So I did it. I booked another night. Marc was skeptical and a little put out but I explained my Fuzzy Disney Math and he saw it my way.

Here is the new plan.

Saturday September 26th - 1 Night at All Star Movies Resort.

I was able to book this through Disney. Earlier in the day they didn't have anything available for Values but tonight they did.

Sunday September 27th - 4 Nights at Old Key West Resort.

Thursday October 1 - 2 Nights at Port Orleans Riverside.

Tomorrow I will buy my flights. Let's all to the Southwest powers that be that they don't go up overnight!

Well....on Sunday morning Jen has so kindly agreed to drive me over to OKW so that I can check in and get my Meal Plan all situated before going to Magic Kingdom for the day. She's sweet like that. On Thursday I will use bell services to transfer my luggage. I think I'm going to have a relaxing morning, maybe go to DTD and then....TAKE THE BOAT to Riverside. You know how I love those Disney boats!

I am happy to report that I was able to book my flights for $79 each way this morning!



I am very happy. On the way back home, I do have one stop but I investigated and it's just a stop. I do not have to switch planes so I am all for that if it saves me $$$.
