Just got back from there. Can tell you what worked for us. I don't know if you would think this inexpensive or not, but after 10 nights at Disney food prices, I thought this was a bargain.

On the first floor, on the opposite side of the front desk (by the doors that take you to the boat docks), there is a bar. In the mornings, starting at 6am, they sell cereal, krispy cremes, fruit(whole and cut-up), muffins, bagels, juice, coffee, danishes... nothing hot but good. We have 2 small children and was able to get juice/milk, a pastry or cereal for us and them, fruit for the kids for about $14-16. I just thought it so convenient because we could literally get it and head for the boats or the car.
We have also used Tubbies, and thought they were fine. I wouldn't "dine" there, but a great place to have a bite. Great variety. It is a cafeteria style place with a convenience store part.
Hope this helps.
By the way, the Swan does provide coffee makers in the room, and my husband brings his favorite teas and coffee for his am fix. You can get cream, sugar from the Swan bar or Tubbies.
Have fun!
