I went for 2 nights on my own in June, instead of the 4 I had planned with my family. (Sis in law got sick and they had to cancel)
Anyway, it is the sort of place that it is hard not to smile in. The parades were amazing, and I got such a kick out of seeing all the tiny princesses.

and there is something quite lovely about watching people just join in with the dancing and singing without inhibitions. The Cast members were also amazing with small children. So patient.
The queues weren't too bad either.
I really mainly went to activate my annual pass, get some Disney souvenirs for the kids, and do a bit of a recce , so I could go again when things got better with SIL.
To be honest I found it a bit lonely. It was busy, but the crowds really seemed to be mainly europeans. I don't think I heard anyone speaking english apart from when I met up with a lovely lady to give her my buffalo bill tickets.
I speak a little french, so tried to use it when interacting with CMs (don't want to forget everything) so maybe it was partly my own fault. Plus I was worried about SIL.
The comparison when I went at the beginning of this week, (Just got back!) was huge. I had an amazing time.

and I think a lot of that was having someone to share the experience with. It's generally a nice place, but sharing the fun triples the enjoyment!
If you are happy pottering about on your own, then go for it.
