any of the resorts in that area are good for that. you have ESPN, jellyrolls, and all the places in world showcase at epcot right in walking distance.

Hi Lenny! Cheers to you for going solo - I've done two solo trips, and absolutely loved every minute of it!
I stayed at Pop Century and All Star Music for my two solos, but only because I was on a budget and didn't spend much time in my room. If I had a choice, I would have rented points and stayed at Saratoga Springs - I stayed there last year with my sister, and it was wonderful to be able to walk over to Downtown Disney and shop, eat or catch a movie. It was also easy if we wanted to visit another resort to just hop on a bus there and then come back and walk back 'home'.
The Beach Club would be ideal as well - very short walk to Epcot and close to all the restaurants and shops around the Boardwalk.
It's just so nice to go at your own pace, come and go as you please, stop and enjoy whatever strikes your fancy when you're in the parks, and eat when and where you decide.
Have a wonderful trip - please let us know how it went and where you decided to stay!:goodvibes

Having Jellyrolls within walking distance is a nice benefit. Walking distance to two of the parks. And for the MK, walk into Epcot from the WS entrance and walk to the front of the park and take a monorail to the TTC and then to the MK (I just prefer that to waiting for a bus :) )

So, not only the BW area restaurants but everything in WS is just a few minutes away, too.

You've got the right idea, Lenny! Go solo and do what YOU want. :thumbsup2

If you can afford one of the Boardwalk properties, I think that's a great choice, as you're within walking distance of Epcot and have a lot of choices for things to do in the evening right there on the Boardwalk, too.

Aside from budget and location, theming might play a part in what resort interests you, too. Some of the themes really don't appeal to me at all. I stayed at Coronado Springs solo, and thought it was wonderful. I loved the theming, thought the property was beautiful, and they've got a couple of nice bars there, if you like to have a drink to unwind at night. I've written about my experience on my blog (see link below) if you're interested.

Have a great time!
