Players: myself...40 getting closer
daughter: Jessica.....finally some excitment in her!
New Addition: Her friend Jay...he is 19 and in College, never been anywhere....wants to be a Biology teacher.......and by the end of this trip...If I heard one more sciencfic term..........
Jess and I slept in today...this being our "switch" day to the BC...I really wanted to enjoy this room till 11! so we stayed in bed and watched tv....of course my designing women and Golen Girls..I know..in Disney...and this is what we are doing!! But this is why I love the Deluxew...because we do take full advantage of them......it is nice!!
all packed...at 10:45 I called to get the bags....and they called a wheelchair axcess cab for us...I wanted to bring our luggage over with us.oh....I forgot to mention...my darling daughter planned on meeting a friend from her "boards" on the internet..he was from Jacksonville..and drove dwon to meet her..they have know each other for about 1 year..and I told her..they were to staye with me at all times(I know ..over protctive) but the internet..hey.ya never know, turns out he was a really nice kid...spent the day with us!
70 mins later........still not cab...finally the valet got right on it!! ya.right.we then got to the BC....I was checking out the construction...it is pretty close to the back of the BC!! and they were on the 5th floor....cab from the BWI to the BC wa 550..that was fine....they at once called concierge....our room was ready............yah!! went right upstairs....respetion area there is really pretty!! they took us...they being bell....and told us to come down to desk after we got to room!
my room was 5669...it was a corner room...so the three of us got to the room....and just stood there....three of us were not gonna fit, and Jay was flying in at 830 this evening!! mind you I also had the ECV...there was NO PLACE to put it!! the room wa very pretty thou......and I went out on the porch...it was a full one...not to huge, but I paid good money for a waterview room..and guess what??? all I could see was Trees!!!! and nothing else...I had this sinken feeling in my stomach..and was very diapointed.......so the kids stayed int he rooms while I went out to get out keys....she asked how the room was,,,,and I just had to say I was a little disappointed...I wanted more of what I had at the YC...to be able to see things!!! to me I am not even sure I would have paid for the"garden view" for this room......that is how "blocked" it felt!! so they looked to see what they could do.....one fo the women Velma....worked at the YC concierge and rembered me from this summer...she was VERY nice,,,,they all were!! she was even seeing what was avab..in the way of suites!!! they would have put me there!! so I went in to the lounge there while she worked on getting me a room.........they asked If I wanted the YC...YES, If avaab....by all means! the lounge at the BC is vey very nice..and the food very close to that at the YC, BUT the construction is right out the back of the lounge...so If you sat there....you would be looking right into the Villas......so I got a cookie and some water...then went back out, Velma asked what room number I had at the YC 5221....she told them I am a repeat...and make sure I get that room!! well for the first night they had to put us in room 5149 at the YC...whcih was just fine...still waterview....then they were to move us first thing the next morning to 5221! so over we wwnt! my poor daughter had unpacked at the BC...we had to throw her stuff back int eh suitcases!!!
YC here we come!! I could not have been happyer!we got to room 5149...and for the record...this has a full handicapp bathroom..view was excellent!! and the staff again....very very helpful....it was almost scarey!!this room and all the ones at the YC are twice the size of the BC ones......(I did take pictures of the BC) be out soon.
so now that we were settled...hungry....we were! so we went down to the Yacth Club Gallery for lunch..Jess, Tim...and I......had a nice lunch....finished around 2.......tim had to "check in" at 2 on his car...they told himm to come back...so they went off to to that.......and we all kind of hung around.knowing that Jay would be coming in around 9......I did let Jess and Tim go voer to the BW for about an hour or so....we went down to the front of the YC around 830pm waiting for Jay to come in......and at this point Tim left...
well 9pm...Jay calls, I am at the airport... tiffanys is no where...so I called, turns out there was a problem with Tiff's last custoers..and that is would be picking Jay up in aobut 5 mins.......9:50 Jay gets there! Finally...so we bought him upstairs to drop off his stuff,,,,,,, then we headed over to the Boardwalk for the night..he was hungry so we got pizza...and walked around and shopped for awhile..till aobut midnight!
I was more then ready to call it an evening!!!!
