Delayed Virgin Flights

Hey everybody!!!

Sat at Orlando Airport, hooked up to the free wireless and hoping that my battery lasts as long as possible to keep us entertained for as long as possible! We are currently experiencing a 4hr+ delay on our VS016 flight, and the Manchester VS076 also had about the same delay. No idea what happened. The 15 in from Gatwick was last - saw nothing on the arrivals board for an inbound Manchester flight, so no idea what's going on.

Manchester people were told this morning at DTD check-in that their flight was delayed, we were not. Found out as we walked into the airport - not fun. At least we would have been a little more prepared for a long evening at the airport had we known in advanced!

The cabin crew are finally boarding the plane as I type - they have been sat in the airport waiting area along with the rest of us for the last 20mins+!! So, hopefully we will be boarding the plane shortly.

My wishes are will those travelling tomorrow, as no doubt our delay today with have a knock on effect.

what is it about vs16 we were delayed 7 hours in august on that one.We also didnt bother with down town check in. Tbh virgin provided us with $15 food vouchers each plus 2 rooms in the hotel and some airmiles. I am sure that we would not have got that from other airlines. Also we didnt suffer so much with the jet lag as by the time we got home it was 6pm (it could have been anytime as I lost all sense of time!) Hope youve had a fab time.

We made up a bit of time flying - it was only a 7hr 30min trip! Landed just after 12:40 in the afternoon, and I have to agree to jet lag has been easy to recover from this time around.

Welcome home.
We have had delays on last 2 Virgin flights, we have found coming home indirect is just as quick. This last trip came back via Chicago with only 1:20mins connection, quicker than coming home direct with Virgin and a 4 hour delay.

Yes, We had a great time too and really happy about getting DVC, I can't wait to use it next year for the first time. Did you like POR? I thought it was a lovely resort when we stayed last year.

Hi TT Hope you had a great time we landed back in Man on VS076 we where only actually delayed 1.5 hrs all in all and like you we made up some time was expected to land at 7:20 and landed at 8 am so I was quite pleased with it. they told us the reason was because of the storm we had when we arrived at the airport they said it wasnt safe to take off and land until it had cleared. We didnt bother with DTD check in and we didnt que I was quite pleased myself with it all.

Glad to hear you got home safe and sounds though and that you had a great time.
