Delayed flight

Hi all.

Supposed to be leaving in 5 hours, but my flight has been delayed a few times already (leaving in 7 hours now).

I'm not really changing my leave for the airport time, though having a bit of wiggle room is nice (I have time to finish washing dishes at least...yay). BUT, is there a chance that it could be moved back up. I'm assuming weather delays as it's pretty ugly here (though earlier and later flights seem to be on time). I was just wondering how often flights were delayed and then UNdelayed.

I'm obviously getting to Orlando later than anticipated - does this change anything about ME? I already have our jammies in the carry on so don't really need to see my luggage before tomorrow morning, but will they bring it in the middle of the night if that is when it arrives?

Thanks!!

It can happen. We flew Jetblue for the first time in February from Boston to Fort Lauderdale for a cruise. On the day we were flying down the weather was not great all around. We were scheduled to fly out at 6:55 pm. Early in the day we got text messages from Jetblue telling us our flight time was delayed, ending up as late as 10:55. We still headed to the airport for about our originally planned time. Once we were at the airport we began getting more texts from Jetblue moving our departure time back again. We ended up leaving at 8:35, not as good as our original time but much better than what we had been told. So it does happen :)

As for ME you can ask the hotel when you check in to hold your bags and deliver them the next morning.

It's always possible that the flight departure could be moved up again. If it were me, I would either keep an eye on the time and be prepared to move quickly if that happens or just get to the airport in time for your original departure (maybe shave it a bit closer than you normally would) and be prepared to wait it out.

The DME busses will be there and be ready to take you to your resort no matter when you arrive. The one thing to remember with the luggage is that if you wind up arriving after 10 p.m. you will need to go to baggage claim to collect your checked bags even if you tagged them. DME does not pull luggage for transport after 10 p.m. and you will need to take them on the bus with you if you arrive that late.

Yes, it can happen.

We had a spring break trip out of MSP a few years ago. Airtran delayed it 4 or 5 times........ add them all together it delayed close to 3 hours...... the last update they moved the departed time by almost an hour earlier..... and that one stuck.

It is always suggested you get to the airport for the normal departure time just in case they are able to catch up...
