Off this question, is there any Gatorade/Powerade type drinks without the sugar and flavors? I would love it if they took the salt and electrolytes and just stuck it in plain water. I agree with what others said, on days when it's super hot and you need something more than just water that stuff seems to "stick" with you longer, if that even makes sense. But I obviously want to avoid the extra sugar, and while I like the lemon-lime flavors the rest really don't taste great.
Off topic (sort of) but when I was an attractions employee at Universal I had a manager who would use his own money and buy powdered Gatorade and then mix it with water in a huge cooler we had in our breakroom. On the especially hot days he would assign one person to fill up as many as those little paper cone cups as they could hold and hand them out to all the employees on rotation outside. Not sure if it was part of the "look" for us to be drinking it, but honestly it really saved the day.
