OK ... now you're just being melodramatic. And ... well ... silly.Well, after reading all of this I'm not sure I will wear a button in September Celebrating my 15th anniverasy and 43rd Birthday which both happen to be on the same day. September 5th. We aren't able to go until the 19th because of DH work schedual and meetings. The reason we are going to Disney is to Celebrate. I was unable to Celebrate my 40th birthday in a big way because of a car wreck. Over 2 years of doctors and therapy and pain, we felt it was time to celebrate both. I felt it would be special. Now, I don't feel like it is even worth mentioning to Disney. Kinda sad now. I will still go and enjoy Disney. Don't get me wrong , but the pin (which I was so excited to get on my 1st trip ever) will most likely be the last one i wear at Disney![]()
A few people on a computer bulletin board ... people you have never met, and are not likely to ever meet ... have stated that it is their opinon that someone shouldn't wear a celebration button for whatever reason. And so now you're sad and less excited and resigned to not wearing a button during your upcoming trip. Please. Why do the opinions of these people -- who, again, you do not know and have never met -- matter? This is a discussion of opinions. Nothing more.
If you want to wear a button -- any button -- for any reason, then go ahead and wear one. And Celebrate anything and everything you want to celebrate.
Disney doesn't care when or how or how long or even where on your person you wear a birthday or anniversary button. They WANT you to wear buttons because the WANT you to celebrate! And y'know ... it's their house ... their rules. And if DISNEY doesn't care how or when or where you wear a birthday or anniversary button, then why does it matter what anyone else says? (Particularly a bunch of strangers.) It's YOUR celebration. Get your buttons, wear them proudly, and enjoy!
