I guess I will join the very small minority that doesn't detest her videos. I find them humorous, as do my four daughters. Yes, she isn't the best actress, but that's what makes her funny. She isn't suppose to be a "sophisticated" person - that would be boring and like watching a documentary. You have to take these videos for what they are, a light-hearted comedy. I actually look forward to getting the next one.

We love DeeVee Cee! She is really corny but in a funny way. We always get a chuckle when watching her. Of course, we don't watch any repeats!

Thank goodness someone else feels the same way...I have never seen Deevee See...but I have heard about her...now I 'm thinking do I watch the video...or do I not watch the video....watch the video...not watch......

PS. I have never really liked the Dee Vee See theme/scheme, but sometimes, it's so off the wall, you just have to shake your head and laugh. I mean, who sits in a cubicle and thinks of these things?

Maybe someone who is overpaid.

I would love to know how they figured she would appeal to the members? Is she supposed to be a reflection of us???? Is that how we are perceived by the Disney marketing people?

I also have to join the minority of Deevy lovers on this thread. DD and I just rewatched all of them last night.

We got the AKV one last year right before our first trip home to Kidani Village. I actually forwarded it on to my sister since she and her DH and my nieces were joining us. She had to call me and verify that we were not in a Grand Villa since her daughters were attempting to recreate the vase-dropping scene at home and she wanted to know if we'd have to worry about them doing it in the villa. We all had a good laugh over that!

Ditto! We met the actress this past December in another roll in the Plaza Restaurant- I admire improv.

I like the Deevy character, but I think she could be used in a way to show the DVC product better.

Most of the videos are down right annoying. I am embarrassed to send it on to a friend who is thinking of purchasing.

The story lines do not show DVC ownership in a classy/wholesome/family fun way. They make us members look odd.

Same here, Sammie! I agree with many of the other posts on this thread...to me the character does nothing but degrade the DVC brand. She's like that tacky relative you're embarrassed for your friends to meet...

I sent the video to my DSIL to see the treehouses because we haven't decided where we are staying for the family trip next summer!! She may stop speaking to me! Deevy has to go! It's annoying and irritating. IASW isn't as irritating as Deevy!

The main thing with me and this is what is the point? In itself she is not that bad and I can appreciate the campiness of her, but does she really represent DVC and its members, I hope not. So I don't get their point of using her.

Can we just have Samantha Brown do all the promos? I love her! I'll even take Anthony Bourdain, but DVC wouldn't appreciate his dry humor.

With all these posts, I think Deevee Cee might be Deeevorceeed from DVC.

That said, I would NEVER show those videos to anyone I know considering buying into DVC I don't see how she works as a marketing tool that could possibly be effective. The videos never show enough of the product and she would probably scare off anyone considering plunking down thousands of dollars that had not already bought in. The way I see it, they are essentially, preaching to the choir, most of whom are busy plugging their ears lest their eardrums shatter It's a sad way for DVC to spend advertising and marketing dollars though
