Deep Fried Pie or Cake?

I know this is a hot button issue here but I need some help making a decision.

Do I try the deep fried pie or cheesecake at the NC State Fair?

Recommedations would be greatly appreciated. I already tried the deep fried Oreo.....

Cheesecake!!!! I haven't tried it yet, but many friends have and absolutely loved it!

I don't like cheesecake, but dh said it was ok. I would go for the pie myself. Have you tried the deep friend candy bars or honey bun?

I want to go, but I don't think it would be easy to take a 5 month old, so we're skipping this year. So...I vote you find the deep fried butter, chicken fried bacon, and Koolickles. Those are the things I am most itching to try. And I ALWAYS have a cheesesteak!

I have not been to the State Fair in ages, but we used to like the ice cream by the mill area. We also enjoyed in the past: roasted corn, fried dough, the onion blossom, and the cheesesteaks. The Sunshine (?) and other groups that serve out of a set of buildings were good too (sweet potato pie).

Wow, both. Deep fried anything is good, although, deep fried Oreos are my favorite.

I once had a battered and deep fried Milky Way bar with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was disappointing. I think my expectations were too high.
