Deed is showing up on Orange County website ...

So I did a search on the Orange County, FL site and our deed is showing up in the system. Anyone have an ETA as to when I might be in Disney's systems and can call MS and get my member number to and book my first DVC trip?

Most people are in the system 7-10 days after closing. When did you close on your contract? It usually takes a while for the deed to show up in the OC database so I agree with Bill, call MS now. Select "Member Administration" from the phone menu.

If MS Admin tells you that you are in the system, ask them for the information you need to access the members' website.

This is the email I got yesterday from the title company
We received your documents and the new deed was sent to recording on 2/29. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks until we get your original deed., however I checked the county site just out of curiosity and low and behold it was all ready there !

Okay after looking again today, I guess it's not the actual deed that is showing up (I had no idea it would let me view the document until today), but the ROFR waiver and the Warranty Deed (what ever that is). Looks like I may have to wait a bit longer Just so excited to actually book our first DVC trip!!

Go ahead and call. DVC often has you in the system prior to seeing the deed recorded.

It is my understanding that most closing companies send the info to DVC at the time of closing along with a copy of the non recorded deed. DVC then generally will change the info at that time. However for name changes and ? private sales, they normally require a copy of the recorded deed. However, as you've found out, one can often get that from the website much more quickly than waiting for the snail mail info.

Since you bought a DVC deed through the resale market, the Warranty Deed is the official instrument showing your ownership interest in the DVC. Within a few weeks you'll receive certified paper copies of the Warranty Deed and Notice of Waiver of ROFR from your closing company. You can also download electronic copies of the documents from the Orange County Comptroller's website

Since you bought a DVC deed through the resale market, the Warranty Deed is the official instrument showing your ownership interest in the DVC. Oh this is great news! I won't have time to call again until Tuesday, but hopefully by then we are in Disney's system and can make our reservations!

I closed a week ago on Thursday, and Disney was able to give me my membership numbers on Tuesday. However the points didn't hit my account until yesterday. Hope that helps.

Thank you this does help. I called MS today and we are not yet in the system. Think I will wait a week or so to call back, since we closed on the 29th. I think I just got excited when I saw our deed on the county website already
