Hi,

I saw this on allears.net

"You may be able to deduct the property tax portion of your annual dues on your federal and/or state tax return. For instance, in 2004 Old Key West owners paid $0.7959 per point in property taxes, out of their total $3.6766 per point annual dues. For an owner with 150 points, that translated into $119.39 in property taxes that might be deductible. Consult your tax advisor for details. "

Does anyone know more about this?
Is there a DVC chart with the per point deduction by property?
Do you need a property tax form from DVC to claim this?

Thanks,
Steve

The amount of the taxes for 2008 is listed on your 2009 statement as well as the estimated amount for 2009. You will not get a separate notice from DVC about property taxes paid but you should receive a 1099(98?) reporting any interest paid if you have a mortgage financed thru DVC.

As always, you should check with your own tax advisor to see if this would be a deduction in your case.
